Changes for Anzac Day 2025

The club is cursed

Even a fully fit Caldwell wouldn’t help us. We will get absolutely slaughtered in the spread.

Langford will probably come in with Goldy. As much as I would like to drop Setterfield I can actually see a role for him in the middle against the Pies.

Realistically did anyone pencil us in for a win on Anzac Day? I sure didn’t.

The margin will be ugly but a loss should come as no surprise

Gresham was Crap, but Duursma was sent to hospital in case had broken ribs.

Gresham was tactical sub.

I thought Gresham has been good to start the year. Shame he slipped back

Did an Achilles plying indoor soccer two years ago. I was 44 at the time and hadn’t done a lot of physical activity for many years. I was just running down the court and thought who the fark just kicked me in the back of the leg. Next minute I was down for the count. You could argue it is a worse injury and less common than an ACL.

Drop Setterfield? You’d like to? But….

You actually see a role for him!

All of that makes sense right?!

Did I watch a totally different game or was Setters one of our better players today?

It’s was a tough day for our forwards with that kind of ball movement.

Yeah, I’m all for getting games into Tsatas but Setters has had two weeks where he has been in the top 5-6 players.

No chance he’s dropped at all.

I remember you posting re: your injury @GrenvoldsGang … and you’re spot on. I’ve done them both, the first was a major rupture on a squash court but I wished I’d snapped it and just got into surgery earlier… Second a clean snap a few years later setting off for a run on the cricket pitch.

The fact Draper was feeling the other calf at 3/4 time likely led him unconsciously loading up more on the good one … and tear it he did.

Shocker of an injury. Really feeling for the big man.

I can see him going to De Goey, Ned Long and Pendles if he goes in the middle and playing a negating role on them. I think against West Coast his role and performance were redundant.

Was it you @Jackdaw who did one getting off the couch? Or am I imagining that!?

Edit: just re reading that you did one at squash and one at cricket.

I swear someone on the Blitz said they did one getting off the couch.

Great insight. Thank you.

After indoor soccer I drove home not fully realising what I’d done. To be honest I knew it wasn’t good.

Surely Goldy doesn’t play VFL tomorrow.
