No, priority is to get Hep to 250 as quick as possible so we have something to celebrate.
Weideman and Presence should never be used in the same sentence.
Weid in and Shiel avoids playing VFL again. DO IT!
I’d be happy with resting Goldy and playing Weid. Then Weid can pinch hit in the ruck.
Duzz in for Perkins
Menzie out for one of the Davey boys
We’ve had a lot of things going well for us since the start of the year, and ironically those are the things that let us down on Friday night.
Disappointed in stoppage work, centre bounce work.
Good opportunity to atone for that.
On Finlayson - These players are human and they make mistakes. I think the most important thing is that everyone involved has straight away admitted it was a mistake and shouldn’t have happened. The AFL will deal with it. Disappointing though. Community and industry come a long way from 30 years ago. AFL has set the standard with this. Issue wasn’t raised with Coach or discussed internally at club after game. Umpire mic caught it and raised from that. Asked what he felt when he was told Brad said people make mistakes and the fact that its been dealt with is a positive and you live and learn and i’d rather focus on the progress we’ve made on this.
Back to last game: This competition is brutal. Result was poor for us. Difficult to say it was a lack of effort. Clearly identified that our effort was not the issue, execution was the issue.
Perkins taken step forward in relation to being big bodied mid that is claimed we lack.
Full confidence in the group we have.
Dylan Shiel full train today, expected to play this week but more likely in the VFL than the AFL. Needs a block of work.
On Perkins, confirmed strained hamstring, leave that in the hands of the experts for rehab, but it is going to be at least a couple weeks.
On soft tissue injuries remark he made at the post game conference: I was just responding to a couple questions relating to soft tissue injuries. They happen in the game. We have a few at the moment. To some important players. We will keep on working on the process to improve that. Reality is you will always have some. Prevention important.
Ridley update: number of weeks, conservative build, full training then come up with accurate return to play period. Important player. Needs to be fully fit when back with little to nil chance of re injury.
On Libba and Bont: alot of work put into them. lot of players up for the challenge and to respond especially around stoppage work. Not just them two players but others. Big challenge. Real opportunity to come up against quality and looking forward to it.
Consider Weeds? We look at everything.
Challenges everywhere you look this Friday night, make sure we’re up for it.
bahahahahaha.
That’s code for “we won’t tag them but we’ll back our system in to beat them”, which has never worked.
Weid & Harrison in our forward line.
We’re gonna be 10 goals down in the 1st qtr.
Weid will surprise if he plays - will play well IMO
He should never play again. He will be delisted come October. Why bother? Are we fkn stupid? The answer is yes, so guess we’ll see you friday WEED
Weid really should not play again unless we get 2 or more STIs among our forwards.
As to having fast mids like, you know fast, like Rozee and Butters, yes we do have some.
Tsatas and probably the most experienced fast inside / clearance player on our list. Shiel.
Oh my.
L isn’t even near S on the keyboard.
Tsatas will get monsterd against Libba and Bont
Thank god we get durham back this week and Setterfield needs to farking lift he was gabage give him the tagging role on Bont
If the choice is Weid or Goldstein, does it even matter?
Yes
I dont see any way in which we dont get belted so may as well give a few youngster’s a go.
In Roberts, Durham, A Davey, Tsatas, Hayes
Out Perkins, Menzie, Hobbs, Hind, Lav
bring in caddy who needs teeth
Yeah becuase getting belted would do wonders for those younger players confidence
We cant just throw them to the wolves
He won’t be delisted, he is a key part of our rebuild.
