Yeah gresh was good.

Hind not terrible outside of the brain fade

I honestly don’t think it will happen at that point either

Out Cox - in Lewis Hayes for his debut. He couldn’t do any worse.

So you are going to play Perkins with a hammy?

Can I say ‘who cares’?

I’m defiantly wanting them to bring Roberts in, cannot be worse than Hobbs/Menzie as a small forward.

Would also love to see Caddy get a run, hell give Hayes a run, played well last week deserves a game over Cox/Lav.

Finally Duz has to come in. One thing we missed is speed to close down the opposition and Duz is a lot quicker than every other mid bar Merrett.

If you want Caddy in a think you need to drop one of the rucks, which without Wright is tough unless we are willing to ruck Cox. So I left him out.

I won’t be watching it either way…so you definitely can. Wake me up when they win a final

No, small forward is a specialist position. I want Roberts to debut, but don’t throw him to the wolves in that role.

If he debuts, it’s as a wing or half back. The role he actually plays.

Hobbs isn’t a small forward either. I would swap them in a heartbeat. He is not getting a look in at HB/wing so he will sit and wait.

When all else fails, let’s make the team OLDER

To me, it doesn’t matter what they do next week. It’s too late. After the way they finished 2023, all the ‘progress’ on standards etc. to see them dropping like flies with injuries again, a VFL program that’s abysmal and hurting development and the group giving up tonight shows how deep the cultural abyss is and how poor the footy dept still is. I don’t care about responses, it’s irrelevant. Tonight they showed what they’re made of mentally and attitude wise. Next week really means nothing. Damage is done. That’s culture again tonight.

Agree. But the answer isn’t shifting from one guy who can’t really play the role to another.

Either start Hind, bite the bullet and play a Davey brother (acknowledging they’ll either be sporadic or very raw), or just go taller and play Caddy.

None are ideal, but that’s the list we have.

Why not reward a kid playing well with a spot in the team. I don’t think we can afford to go much taller but if we are I would probably STILL swap Roberts for Hobbs. Menzie, Hind and Hobbs are not offering enough as small forwards. I can see some value in Hind as a sub because he is quick and even quicker with fresh legs.

I agree it’s not ideal, I just disagree that we should chose to not play a kid performing because he has to play a slightly different role, which is the high half forward role Hobbs is playing.

Yep, exactly. It’s all irrelevant and a waste of time now. Until we see some consistency then it will always be same old pissweak Essington

Resilience isn’t seen in response when blowtorch is on. That’s easy. Any team responds to a media torching. The lack of response after halftime tonight said more about this group to me than anything they do next week. They can’t convince me all’s well with a ‘response’ next week.
