He has pace and genuine leg speed which not many in our side posses.

Surely one of the Daveys will come in to play small forward, given that hobbs and Caldwell will both be playing a lot of midfield with setterfield and Perkins out
They will only be a goal or two down at quarter time. But that’s about as hard as they can try. The dam wall will burst again in the second quarter. Centre players will jog along watching the Bulldogs run past. Defenders will become witch’s hats and it will be hard to judge the forward line because the ball never gets down there.
Gee I hope I am wrong. Once upon a time I would look forward to a game after a loss as the team would come out obviously fired up. But the Essendon we now know is mentally soft and has been for a long time. I struggle to see a competitive performance coming in the next few weeks.
He started well Draper didn’t he then he only had like 1 touch in the second half and zero influence.
Davey may not be ready, but he sure as ■■■■ is never gonna get ready playing in the dumpster fire of an outfit that they allow the vfl to run with.
cox isn’t ready, menzie isn’t ready (and i rate him), heppell is on the decline, kelly is questionablly not up to it, lav defintely isn’t, hind defintely isn’t.
redman is severely out of form. hobbs is too.
so the tag “not ready” is kinda irrelevant. some players are getting picked when they aren’t ready. some are getting picked when they absolutely shouldn’t be.
If the goal is 8 years from now, what does it matter if Davey is ready right now ?
is it not to get him ready as quickly as possible, so as when you’re supposedly in your window to compete in the top4, he is you know ready by then ?
and not still developing and hoping he vaguely turns into a player in said supposed window ?

Always happens we will compete and look good for 10-15 minutes
Dogs will get a couple of cheap goals right before qrt time to lead by a small margin
2nd qrt Dogs ramp up the pressure and we fold like a cheap suit and we end up losing by 6 goals or more
