Changes for the Cats

I wonder if they’ll be looking at another freshen up for Howlett soon?

In: Chapman, Carlisle

Out: Winderlich, Hibberd

No other changes.

PS Those thinking Belly will miss wont.....he has played 4 games and big men take a little longer.

He needs game time, he will clunk against the Cats....book it.

This match is our whole season. Geelong are vulnerable. If Melksham can do a job on Selwood and Hocking on Johnson we’ll be a good chance.

I wonder if they'll be looking at another freshen up for Howlett soon?

Two weeks in, one week out, two weeks in, one week out. Got it.

That would be a no, a big NO.

In: Chappy, Hardy

Out: Hibbo (inj), Licha (rest/susp)

Z Merrett Bellchambers Ambrose

Kavanagh Daniher Zaharakis

Heppell Stanton Goddard

Myers Hooker Dempsey

Baguley Hurley Fletcher

Ryder Hocking Melksham

Colyer Chapman Hardingham - Howlett

Winderlich wont go for the elbow. Nothing in it

In: Chappy

Out: Kav

Pig will come up ok IMO and Winders should be ok but if he gets a suspension Kav stays

Well if he does, or if he needs a rest, and Hibberd doesn't get up then I can see the changes being:
In: Chapman, Merret
Out: Winders, Hibberd

Agree. The 2 obvious ones to come in. Don't think Carlisle will get up.

Either Hocking or Melksham to go to half back and tag Stevie J.

In: Chapman

On Review of the incident I don't think winderlich will miss as only reason crows player went down is cause hit him in the gonads. IMO winderlich was just trying to push away from player. At first I thought he would be gone 1 week for sure but have since changed that decision.

This incident was a momentum changer for us which was good.

And winders stood up well after the incident, which was an accident.

so he retains his spot.

Not many changes Chappy in...Hibberd out due to corky/knock due to 6 day break, I hope he gets up but is probably only 50/50 at this stage.

If Hibberd is right Merrett to get a full game in the reserves.

Im not sure if Carlisle knee will be good enough either given bomber said he hasn't trained on it.

If he comes back may be a case of which tall back needs a rest unless we throw hurley forward and take ambrose or bellchambers out.?

He’s got points…

Surely his opponent would have points from the first 29 hits in the back, too?

need to include hardy.

show us what he's got or time to let go at the end of the season.

always liked him but its now or never.

he got 3 in the VFL on the weekend.

if they dont bring him in i would assume decision is already made and wont be here next year so no point for a run in the AFL.

What chance is everyone giving us against Geelong this week?

IN: ChapMAN & Carlisle

OUT: Winderlich, Hibba

Its not complicated.

I've been waiting for a core group on 0-20 and 50-100 games and under 24  to win a crucial match against a top 6 side.

This is the moment.Friday is going to be HUGE!

No changes for mine

Zaharakis & Hooker recently played there 100th too.

Glad to see consensus that Colyer and Kav keep their spots.

How good is Hibberd for us now. wish Gleeson wasn't injured, would be a handy replacement for Pig.

Allright, I've listened to all of your suggestions and taken them on board, and now I've made my decision.

In: Chappy, Jerret.

Out: Licha (susp), Hibberd (inj)

B: Baguley Hooker Fletcher

HF: Zaharakis Ryder Chapman

F: Ambrose Daniher Z.Merrett

Foll: Belly Hocking Melksham

Int: KAV, J.Merrett, Howlett. Colyer (sub)

Nothing too crazy here. Hibberd's role can be covered by guys like Hurley, Goddard, Myers, Melksham and Heppell who can all be damaging on a flank.

I chose Colyer as the sub just because. It may be that someone else needs more of a rest because of the 6 day break.

Actually we might see a fair few changes to freshen up the side because of the short break and the physically demanding style of game that Geelong play. Don't be surprised if Ashby, Aylett, Van Unen, Jetta, Hardy, NOB, Stein or another debutant get a call up, though we don't want too many changes to a side that seemed to be getting their mojo back, and Hibberd and Licha are important to our structure as they are more than just flankers. Chappy will add a lot though.
