I dont particularly disagree but I wasnt including him as a mid, I would have him in place of Smith cos at least Shiel can run

Out

Draper - learn the trade in the VFL
Ham - no idea what his role is
Smith - get some form in the VFL
Stewart - I’ve been a big supporter but just no
Heppell - send a message it worked for Richmond
Guelfi - get some form in the VFL, maybe sub role

Enough players on a like to like basis to replace the above

Martin in for Cox
Shiel in for Ham
Tex in for Smith

I think the Dees will be a bit flat coming back from the GC on a six day break. If we bring today’s effort, we should give a good account for ourselves, but the Demons will do enough and win by 3-4 goals.

Out: Ham, Smith, Cox

Honestly, anyone who thinks Zerk-Thatcher has a place in an AFL team is deluding himself. He’s yet another beanpole who doesn’t have the strength to win a contest and doesn’t have the pace to win a race. Another Dodoro special.

And anyone who thinks that Stewart has a place in an AFL side is delusional.

I think Melbourne will win whatever obstacles are thrown their way…

But don’t underestimate how often teams are flat after playing a taxing game at a warm/humid Metricon. Especially on a shortish break.

The Dees have hardly been at their best tonight against the Suns. It is still March after all.

He does whilst we have no other options. Don’t tell me BZT. The guy is a bigger liability. I might be up for swapping Francis with Stewart in defence

It’s true but unfortunately we are not capable of taking an advantage like you mentioned will be the complete opposite we will play them into form

We’ll see.

We beat them in a great Friday night game at the MCG in 2019. Lost narrowly in a dead rubber game for both clubs (at Metricon) in 2020 and then pressed them deep into the last quarter in our game last year before eventually going down by 11 points. Some questionable decisions also went their way in the second half.

We know they’re a terrific team but I don’t think we are going to be overawed.
