Would be great for us in the medium to longer term.
Unfortunately we live a ‘right here right now’ society that can’t see past the next game/win rather than thinking bigger picture.

Caldwell is ready isn’t he?
No he isnt.
Has a history of hamstring injuries and we are rightly being cautious.
Maybe the week after.
Just like West Coast I expect us to give them a sniff and they will be within striking distance the entire game.
Well if the media haven’t ripped them enough this week, they might for next week
Out: Brad Scott
In: Anyone - as long as they:
Who are you referring too that the coach needs to select?
I can see the bigger picture but still don’t want to lose to those ■■■■■■■ rattling losers anyway
5 day break from VFL will be used as an excuse to keep Brad’s winning senior outfit together.

Winning games of football is always about the bigger picture.
Unless you want to be perpetually garbage like North seem to be now.
I have more hope than a north supporter.
Hayes for a start.
Bryan spent too long in the twos.
Baldwin was never given a chance prior to injury.
We all know what happened with Mass.
SEH to play whole games instead of sun continually.
Tsatas to develop.
I don’t like them either but a loss to NM would add the ‘full stop’ to the fact this needs to be a rebuild year.
It would be a realistic slap in the face to the club and a chunk of the supporter base.
And that is really our biggest problem.
Im quite comfortable with a loss in this game.
There’s no difference between 4 and 3 or 3 and 4 when Finals is not realistic.
All these pointless narrow wins against out of form sides does us no good.
The coaches and club keep deluding themselves about where we stand in the competition.
North’s midfield will rip us up, especially if Xerri trounces Goldy again.
Maybe just maybe we can try a full game for SEH and Tsatas, and try another youngter or two or do we need to waste a full half a season first Brad? Teams are not helped by the pisss poor vfl scheduling thats for sure though.
I think Bryan would almost be Scott’s favourite player. He is actually one that’s developed under whoever our ruck coach is.
SEH might not have the match fitness.
Massimo wasn’t Scott’s fault. That was list management.
I haven’t watched enough of our VFL to understand if both Hayes and Tsatsas are ready.
If they come into the ones and play as well as Bryan then I think Scott is actually doing what he says he is. Developing and playing footballers when they are ready.
you can tell you’re new to being on this side.
cos you still think a loss in a game like this, changes much if anything in the short, medium or long term.
in scotts first year, after the rails going off after mid season, the team loses by 130 and 70 points in the last 2 weeks.
then went out and reproduced the same outcome the next season.
now I know in theory you and people believe that short term hit will wake people up.
but at this club, what do you see them actually doing or implementing after a loss to north ?
what actual change would it bring about in Scott and co ?
that’s not a go at your or anything. I just think this club has had a ■■■■ ton of wake up calls, but nothing changes cos of the underlying people don’t want to or believe in the necessary change that’s needed for dissappointing performances or losses.
It will hurt during the match if we lose, just like yesterday. But bigger picture, wont matter in 5 years. Nailing the draft, free agency and developing.our young crop is what will bring success. Redman and co arent it. Sadly, that means Merrett sees no success either. Feel for Jobe, Hepp and Zach. All loyal.clubmen, good players and zero success of any sort. Then you see Pendles and Sidebum still playing high level footy with premierships under belt.
