I wouldnāt be ruling out Smart either. But I donāt think weāll try and exploit their small defenders. Worner is their smallest defender and if Wagner is forced to tag Merrett, that leaves Kako and Guelfi to be defended by Worner and Chapman. Thatās a favourable matchup for us that could be exploited as long as we give them supply.
or how about McMahon over Day-Wicks and/or Perkins.
What are the chances that Brad plays Vissentini for just over a half then subs him out, like he used to love to do with Bryan

Vigo can play forward as well as ruck. Heās more hybrid.
Bryan was a ruck who was still developing his forward craft and quite frankly had his struggles getting around the ground against the best ruckmen. Weāll see if Vigo has his problems against the best ruckmen in the league.
Also, Iām assuming Goldy isnāt playing, which Bryan was playing relief ruck with Goldy (or maybe Phillips) before being subbed.
Iād go with slim to occur prior to the third quarter.
It makes sense to bring off a tall in the last quarter for a runner. Whether thatās May, Blackiston or Vigo is anyoneās guess.
For comparison, Dante was subbed off in his debut game in 2023 game (Houston kick after the siren game) sometime early in the third quarter. They preferred to play Dixon and Finlayson in the ruck that night.

Another dumb fact.
Weāve never had 4 consecutive years of 8 different Grand Finalists. 2024 ended a run of 3 years.
From 1897 to 2014 it happened 5 times.
Itās happened 3 times since.
Itās feels harder to get there because it is. More teams are getting there. Not the same ones over and over again.
Probably why Vigo was announced so early on Monday, give him some air before announcing the second debutant later in the week.

iām just looking at seeing something from Vissentini.
Left field would consider throwing Caddy back to defence for some more learnings. If heās getting starved switch to defence in second half.
