Very surprised.

The whole club media debut process for players across the league seems to be so uniform these days, I’m surprised an ā€œit is understoodā€ article on the AFL website is the first notice.

Not that it matters in the slightest, of course. Best of luck to him.

Caddy,Roberts,Hobbs

But Brad dosent play any kids!

Lol this is not a path you want to go down to defend your man Brad, Nino.

Edit 2…
So we have…
Rucks - Draper. Bryan as back up.
Small mids - Merrett, Caldwell, Parish and Shiel.
Medium / tall mids - Durham & Stringer. I’m expecting Stringer to play more midfield time this week.
Wings - Durursma & Roberts. Jones to give Roberts a chop out.
That’s 11 players.

Tall forward - Caddy + resting ruck. Jones could also switch to key forward when Bryan comes out of the ruck.
Medium forward - Langford.
Small forwards - Gresham and Davey Jnr.
That’s 15 players.

Tall defenders - McKay and Laverde.
Medium defenders - Redman and Cox.
Small defenders - McGrath and Kelly (as expected).
Attacking defender - Martin.
That’s 21 players.

I think Hobbs gets in ahead of Hep. Especially if Roberts gets wing and Cox moves down back.
I’d guess we’d probably go with a midfielder as sub (Hobbs or Shiel). We need two small forwards on the ground at least so ADJ cannot be sub (unless Menzie is named in).

Which means 2MP, Menzie and Hep are out.

I think when Brad selects youngsters he wants them to come in and stay in the side and it seems Roberts is on that path

If Roberts is the sub I swear to fkn god…

Do you think it’s possible to get it there from the front row of 2nd level ?

Maybe if I roll it up into a ball ???

Yep, he’s said that the entire time. People choose to either ignore this or forget it.

The only exception I can see is Bryan, but the ruck position is obviously limited and you can’t play more than 1-2 per game.

Its not ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  Brad actaully said this

What do you call it when you say you’ll do something and then do something else??

You couldn’t say Davey didn’t get a very good crack at it at the start of the season.

And true to form this board was melting every week to have him dropped…

I’d have liked Hobbs to have retained his place in the side, he’s the one who I think really offers a lot that should’ve stayed in, that one certainly felt a bit crook.

The other two really couldn’t justify staying in the side… Tsatas was butchering the footy and thus better off in the magoos and Bryan just doesn’t seem anywhere near as good as this place might suggest. Suspect he’s gonna get a lot more opportunities to prove it though.

Sorry, to be clear, I know he said that. He also said (paraphrasing):

  • We are a developing team. [Plays one of the oldest teams week in, week out]
  • We will not take sugar hits and sacrifice the future. [Chases bang average FAs, continues to play older list cloggers over younger players]
  • I have learned from my mistakes and won’t play injured players in future. [Parish]
  • We didn’t go in too tall. [Good one …]

He doesn’t have a great record with the truth.
