You obviously have very little idea with Perkins still in your lineup.
One of the healthest list on the comp and we still wont make finals, dont want hepp or goldy back in time to play the next generation of kids.
Not sure you needed to be rude,
instead you could have offered your own opinion.
Who do you have replacing him?
Can someone give me a reason to believe they might drop Goldstein this week? Bringing Wright back from the naughty corner would even be acceptableā¦
Goldstein played the whole match for 5 handballs. Was a liability in transition. This coming off a two week rest.
Has to be dropped and wonāt play again unless Draper gets injured.
Without wanting to sound rude but did you not see the game he served up against Adelaide? I can confidently say that Bryan would have offered more on the ground than Goldy did. I think Goldy was a good addition to our list but I think now is the time for him to start his new career in coaching!
Its a conflict of interest thoughā¦If Draper is bad then goldy potentially gets another game.
This game will be decided on Thursday night!!!
Out: Goldy, Menzie, Perkins, Guelf
In: 2MP, Hind, Hobbs, ADJ
No Heppell please!!!
last time brad selected well it was against Collingwood and we won.
Goldy and Menzie may as well not played last week as they didnāt have any impact at all. We are always playing a few players short. Against the Dees Perkins and Cox hardly touched it.
Out: the familiar stench of late season failure.
In: that winning feeling.
Would respect us forfeiting this one tbh.
As it stands, if we are to make finals, weāre going to have to play some pretty good football over the remaining 5 rounds. In other words, if we make it, we will have earned it and will have proved that we are capable of winning one. If we donāt make it, itās of no consequence.
I havenāt given up just yet, but I would like to see some changes this week including
OUT: Goldy, Stringer, Perkins
This is a real test of our boysā resolve. Letās see what they serve up.
Team balance is still off. Iād go withā¦
Out: Perkins (omitted), Goldstein (omitted), Shiel (omitted), Stringer (managed)
In: Hobbs, Wright, Hind, A. Davey
Hobbs for the stoppage grunt work as Duz and Caldwell tire that Perkins has completely lost. Wright because Draper still needs a chopout and Goldy is cooked. Hind is more versatile than Shiel and gives us run in other parts of the ground. Alwyn at least has a bit of zip and boy does our forward line need it, no matter how much he hates contact.
Personally, I wouldnāt give Wright a run. Heās not what he used to be and our forward line is too top heavy with him in it. Not to mention that, even under the roof, he canāt take a clean mark. Caddy is getting a run and was more than serviceable in recent games. That would be my preference.
These are the changes Iād like to see:
OUT: Draper - Perkins - Menzie - Guelfi (inj.) - Goldstein
IN: BRYAN - Hobbs - J. Davey - Roberts - Setterfield
Roberts to HBF - Martin to HFF.
What weāll probably see:
OUT: Menzie - Guelfi (inj.)
IN: Heppell - Hobbs
Iām hoping Brad makes a few changesā¦
Need pace against Saints - bring in Hind and Davey - Hind plays back, Martin forward
Cox & Jones to rotate wing/CHF
2MP & Draper rotate ruck only - neither as a key forwardā¦
Stringer SUB - needs a rocket
OUT: Menzie, Guelfi, Perkins, Goldy
IN: Hind, Davey, Hobbs, 2MP
Redman McKay Kelly
Ridley Lav McGrath
Cox Caldwell Duursma
Martin Jones Gresham
Langford Caddy Davey
2MP Durham Merrett
Bench: Shiel Hobbs Hind Draper
SUB: Stringer
In Roberts Wright Hind Hobbs
Out Guelfi Goldy Perkins Menzie
B: McGrath McKay Kelly
HB: Redman Ridley Laverde
C Duursma Merrett Jones
HF Martin Caddy Stringer
F: Langford Wright Hobbs
Foll: Draper Caldwell Durham
Bench: Cox Roberts Shiel Gresham Sub: Hind
I probably will , but Iām going to struggle mentally to bring myself to watch this game live.
Iām going and if the game is rubbish, Iāll just leave at half time and pop across to the MCG to watch the other game.
Rubbish is just general quality of the game. If itās a shitfest and Essendon are winning, Iām going to the other game.
