Changes v Saints

Couldn’t find a forum to put this in but gee I hope we lose to the Saints……experts have us predicted to finish eighth and play Freo in Perth………that would be an absolute disaster……10+goal loss again, better to miss and watch the Dawks beat them over there, just to further rub it in our faces

Parish: Test
Saad: 3 weeks
Guelfi: 3-4 weeks Hammy

Nothing surer than us rushing Parish back only for him to look lame and/or go PING.

Hope not we really have missed him

We’re cooked IMO and the usual slide is in full swing but all things being equal (Caldwell fine, Parish returning), and with the VFL game being the day after the AFL match, this could be the most mids we have had available for selection at any one time this year.

I can’t recall a week where all of Merrett, Durham, Caldwell, Parish, Shiel, Perkins, Setterfield, Tsatas, & Hobbs were available.

I reckon they will give Parish a half in the VFL this week.

Agreed. We miss Parish a lot but I noticed when he returned from injury earlier this year, it took him about 3 games to find his rhythm. The two games before that he looked a little lost.

Lose Hind otherwise not bad

You read it here first…
Wright in for Goldy
Hobbs for Menzie
Hind in for Perkins

Parish a half in the 1s then sub him

Sweet Nicky Hind stays to tear his old team a new one mon frère!

You hope we lose. Spoken like a true supporter… NOT! That is gutless. HTFU

Who are these experts who can see 5 - 6 weeks in advance, l want some Lotto numbers off them.

Huh? In a must win game you want to bring in an underdone player and play him only for a half?

Agreed Cap. While it’s true we have some challenges, all is not lost yet. It is evident that we have dropped off a little in recent weeks. We’ve seen many false dawns so I think it’s easier for a lot of supporters to give up rather than having their hopes dashed again.

The most vicious responses to players and results and serial forecasters of gloom are generally just supporters who are really hurting emotionally- I keep that in mind when reading across amplified anxt on Blitz.

Thing is, the difference between 12.5 wins and 13.5 wins could very well be 9th/10th all the way to 6th, and potentially a home final against Port or the Giants.

I don’t think we’ll get to 13.5, but if we do it could be a good result for once.
I wouldn’t follow those ridiculous ladder predictors.

Some players come back and hit their straps quickly, some don’t. Parish is traditionally a slower burn. Hooker was too. He won’t have much runway to hit his straps with possibly only 4 weeks until year end whatever the trans fortunes.
