Duursma and Cox stick to the wings. Give them a break here and there with Jones and Gresham, but that’s it.
Draper can’t ruck on his own so you either play Goldy or 2MP. You’re gambling on whether we get the good Draper or the bad Draper which is a flip of the coin chances.
If you play 2MP, then you have to re-shuffle the forward line.
2MP and Caddy the key targets. Jones and Langford the mobile forwards. Get out of the forward line and leave space for 2MP and Caddy. If their opponents sag back and don’t follow, then play through them. Davey Jnr and Gresham the small forwards with Menzie rotating off the bench.
CBA rotations of Merrett, Durham, Perkins, Setterfield and Hobbs should give us a better mix than the midgets we’ve resorted to sending in there in the last few weeks.
The backline has been unbalanced since integrating Ridley back there. McKay, Ridley, Redman, McGrath and Kelly are staples (like it or not). With that 5 the last player needs to be a creator so Martin slots in. Laverde and Hep cannot be a rotation off the bench or elsewhere on the field. So I’d prefer another midfield rotation in Tsatas. For his development, he’s better served developing in the VFL, but I doubt we play Roberts, Wanganeen or Davey and he’s shown to help out with wing rotations and may get the odd CBA attendance.
Sub to be Stringer (should be closer to being dropped but there’s no one to come in place for him). Maybe he can come straight into the CBAs and have an impact as a fresh body in the last quarter.
I’d like to see us choose players for a role. Since we’ve gotten Ridley back and the injury list has actually reduced (who would have thought that would actually occur) we’ve tried to cram players into the team causing imbalances (height vs pace, defence vs offence, etc) all over the field.
Hopefully we don’t rush Parish in for this game.

Wanted to give Hayes a run but can’t with such a tall backline already. I’m not a huge Laverde fan but his effort has been first rate.
