Changes V The Dees ( Gather Round ) Sat 1.15PM

Fair points. I think Parish and Langford have just enough credits to have another week. But they’d want to perform this week. I also think we do need some old heads.

We actually have a lot of selection pressure with players coming back from injury. I hope when Brad makes decisions he favours youth over the incumbent. For example Sharp over Setters.

Melbourne have roughly the same.

Plenty can play wing. Durham, Prior, Langford and looks like they’ve named adw. I’d say it’s plenty. Prob why they’ve named more forward due to Durham and Langford being potential rotations.

I can’t cop this. They have had more than enough chances.

How many times can we say “oh, they just need another week”

If they are garbage again this week do they get another week and another?

Too tall. And if it rains, it’s not going to be fun with Melbournes speed.

Also feel like, with Parish still in the side, Tsatas will not get the same CBA time and will look bad like is usually does when he comes into the seniors

No. I’ve drawn a line now.

Their mix is very different. They’re playing 2 guys over over 197 - gawn and petty. We’re playing 5! And we can’t possibly compare Langford’s mobility to their batch of medium tall forwards.

Ins and outs eh. Good to see guelfi & perkins gone, good to see caddy, tsatas & robey in. But whatever

Its the team balance. WTF are we doing selecting all of robey, edwards, langford, may, wright & caddy.

Selecting two slow, mid only guys in parish & tsatas. Not good. Parish OUT

Keep johnson and one of day wicks/el hawli and drop langford and parish. Do not give me the @CJohns stat of however many players under 30 games. Parish & Langford have been utter DOGSHIT all year, they provide nothing we don’t already know

Depends what he is playing for. No.1 draft pick?

Ridley comes in for Johnson not like for like

Caddy comes in for Guelfi (Tall for a small )

Robey for Perkins :white_check_mark:

Tstats for El Hawli inside for outside mid

I think Langford is lucky and I didn’t think Guelfi did much wrong last week.

I prefer Johnson over Prior as the defender from the bench

Do people expect Robey as a forward impact player or come on as a mid?

Brad Scott must think he is managing stoke city from the late 2000s putting that much height in the team

It’s absolutely absurd.

Can we get Rory Delap to take the kick ins?

Excited for all 4 of those ins - I’d have given Robey another week or two but we clearly want to get a look these kids asap.

The glaring issue is we’re too tall and slow. Perhaps Langford to a wing but even still. With Ridley back in, I’d much prefer a runner in El-Hawli/Johnson/Nguyen over Prior.

I weirdly don’t mind all of Parish, Caldwell, Tsatas, Merrett & Durham in the same team. Realistically it’s the only way Tsatas is going to get games - may as well see if we can make it work.

Otherwise I was keen for us to go with McGrath in the middle on Pickett. Gives us some leg drive out of the contest and change things up a bit.

I don’t think the side is too tall. It’s fairly mobile. It’s not quick, but I can’t see who we arent playing to say we are potentially losing the game at the selection table.

Yeah, I’m with this. Caddy, Edwards, Wright, Langford, May all in the forward line, probably with Robey as well? And dropping two running halfbacks to bring in another tall defender?

I can see the logic of each individual change, but I’m not convinced how well it all works together as a coherent side.

Agree with the Langford comment and if Parish doesn’t lift his game this week I’d drop him for Anzac Day

I would have dropped Blakiston and rucked Wright. AND played El Hawli or Nguyen.

For ANZAC Day?

If he’s rubbish again this week then hopefully Dyson takes his spot for the Gold Coast game

Langford probably plays wing
