Why are people dropping Prior? He’s been very solid the last 1.5 games. I wanted to cannon him after his first 2 games, but Brad backed him in and he’s turned it around.

Shiny new things and we want better than solid.
He’s only 23. You don’t bring in a bloke from another club to play VFL. By mid season, if a better option is banging the door down then by all means drop him. Don’t think we gain much by dropping now.

Scott won’t change structure if he can help it.
So Wright will come in for Bryan, the only question is whether he drops Hobbs or Setters for Tsatas. WC have a bunch of big mids so perhaps it’s Hobbs that misses out.
Pleas no Goldy.
Draper is should be peaking physically at age 26, now has the experience etc etc.
If he is worth $850k a season then he should be able to solo ruck for the year.

What we really miss in losing Bryan is the physical contest Draper provides as a forward. So losing Bryan hurts us in two ways. Wright isn’t the solution imo. Goldy if two years younger is a better option but he’s nearly 90 years old!
That leaves us with a quandary. I suppose this year it’s not too important. Certainly magnifies need to develop Vigo or find another ruck in years ahead for this reason.

Brad won’t be selecting Vigo or Gerryn. That leaves Wright to come in. Even Brad wouldn’t select Goldstein.
We have to get Tsatas in, so have to make space by dropping either Setterfield or Hobbs. It will be Setterfield.
Not sure who to drop for Caldwell, Langford and Parish in the long run. I know Saad would be dropped.

I agree. Or they just go with one ruck. I agree with you though, they likely pick Wright as they want two ruck system (allows Draper play forward which is necessary). Unfortunately Wright isn’t a strong solution though. We don’t have many other options unless the restructure and go with one ruck but I think unlikely.

I know plenty will lose their ■■■■ if Goldy plays but I’m ok with it.
Wright needs a good run of VFL games to hopefully get his mojo back. Don’t want him bought back in until he has.
Draper is in career best form. Keep him as fresh as possible for ANZAC day by rucking Goldy most of the game against WC. Then Goldy makes way for Langford? and Drapes goes all day against Cameron.
