Cox will stay in. I’d consider bringing Roberts in. Maybe for Redman if that happens. MCG plenty of space and he’s a good kick. Seems to go ok at the hard stuff too.
BTW Hind stays in too. Rest Goldy for the following week.

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly the time where Geelong just continually raised their game level whenever they played Essendon.
We had our fair share of great clashes throughout the 1980s and 1990s without it being a rivalry or anything … but the arrival of Mark Thompson was definitely a catalyst. I know we were hardly world beaters at the time but the Cats playing group loved raising their level against us. Every single time.
They thrive off smashing us.
i’m assuming Cox may be rested/injured given the knee twist he had and already had other knee in strapping. Might be nice to be preecautious for a change.

Shiel doesn’t have the tank for a vfl game and has no agility to pick up a ball from the ground. Backup is backup.
Wish we had some selection pressure for our defense and need a big bodied mid. Would love Setters or Hobbs in for the pressure.
Not sure who to take out though.
Bomber used to tell his players to physically beat us up because we couldnt handle it, as it has been said many times on this website

Shiel has pace to burst away from stoppage and win clearance and should help us in the clearances.
he finally has played a VFL game worthy of maybe coming in.
And was probably better than the other midfield contenders Tsatas, Hobbs and Setterfield.
and they all have their issues too

You are underrating West Coast. They have a solid backline, Yeo and Ryan are classy midfielders, and their forward line go ok.
