BZT tested very well for standing vertical leap and running vertical leap at his state combine.
Suggestion is Smack may be under a cloud. So Stewart gets back to work (and is not needed in the ruck with Tommy and Big Sammy Draper present).

Its not so much being a monster, its that he plays close and does not give away a lot of frees , like Hartley tended to do. That frees up Ridley to intercept and play on a small/medium forward like Cameron, while Saad takes Zorko.
There about 3-4 good small/medium forwards. McClugg comes forward from the wing, Zorko, Cameron,
Thatch is absolutely more of a gorilla keeper than Ridley is.
The Bears wonât be running all 3 tall guys forward at once, especially at night.
So where are the weather gurus, or do I have to do the forecast myself. ?

Not sure if your comment was directed at me. However that wasnât my position as I though that we would beat Adelaide. Historically we oft lost to âlesserâ teams when expecting a victory.
If I recall correctly, we have a good recent history against the Lions in Brisbane. The Dees almost beat them. Since Martinâs out they have lost a lot. Im not in awe of the Lions at all. Without Mcstay & especially Martin they are venerable.

Saad is our best small/medium 1 on 1 defender by far, with amazing closing speed can play close plus he can hurt the other way.
Neale and Rayner look good. They need to watch out for those blokes.
Dont you love the AFLs reporting on Drapers debut - how its all about Brisbaneâs injury toll and a ânew lookâ Lions.
Acknowledges Brisbanes injuries but of course overlooks most of our starting forward line/options missing. Daniher (1.8 goals a game), Stringer (1.8), Fantasia (1.4), Laverde (0.8) - that is nearly 6 goals missing. Another 0.9 if Smack misses.

My favourite kind of blitz post.

McCarthy, Rayner and Bailey are the other usual Brisbane forwards.
Zorko, Neale & McLuggage get their scores drifting down from midfield, or from stoppages.
So thereâs essentially 4 small / medium (Rayner) to cover. The set up can look different given they like to isolate Cameron deep at times, and play him as a KPF.
Francis, Hurley & Ridley are enough to cover their talls - but at times one at least will need to play smaller.
Yep there is a separate one at Royal Pines. Itâs not very big though. I think itâs a converted Rugby league ground. But Fark Carlton were training there the other week when I was there.
