stringer olin the middle against the pies was brilliant rope a dope move. all year the club was talking about how they don’t want him in the mid , and bam! in the mid with impact
We’ve had a lot of honourable performances in the Anzac Day game over the past 7-8 years.
I can’t recall us ever playing well in the following game after any of those games.
Perhaps too much back patting after such performances on the biggest stage (outside of finals).
Hopefully this week we are ruthless and out the eagles to the sword.

Following game drop off likeky a lot to do with playing 3 games in 15 days etc. which is never going to end well. Not an excuse but the price we pay fixture wise for playing Anzac day rarely works in our favour. This year, they will be fresh… well should be so should be able to have a decent crack.

I’m not against Tsatas getting games, however, I reckon coaches are more interested in his disposal than his collection.

I hope they give one of the ruckman a spell this week. A combination of Wright and Cox are more than capable of contributing 30% ruck output each quarter.

As much as I like Hobbs, he got caught at least 3 times HTB and didn’t seem to have that awareness. Tsatas in.
Hind also really needs to go, bring back Shiel. He’s a class above Hind.

We were so tall we couldn’t defend kick-ins.
Our kicking accuracy early completely saved us from having to defend coast to coast transitions.
Collingwood knew what they were doing as well, they immediately played on from every kick-in knowing our cumbersome talls would be unable to lock it in and went coast to coast THREE TIMES.
It’s a complete blueprint to play against us if we player 2 rucks and 2MP.
We need to go back to 3 smalls in our forward line replicating what every other good team does.
It’s no coincidence we won 3 of 4 games with a Davey, Menzie and Gresham locking the ball in and as soon as 2MP returns, it goes to sh^t.

Agreed, although I had assumed he probably wasn’t right to go on account of not full training last week and not playing even limited minutes in the VFL.
No need to shoehorn IMO. Hobbs is playing the forward/mid role right now. Perkins plays that role better.
