Eagles will provide a stiff challenge over there. McGovern is good form, Yeo back to career best form, Reid in the midfield, Waterman in career best form plus Darling can still play. Petrucelle too is playing well and Cripps can still kick a few.

Quick statistical preview of the game based on scoring source differentials over the last 5 weeks.
Kick-ins :
- Eagles +2.2 (3rd)
- Essendon -0.2 (12th) => We are 2.4 points/game worse off
Stoppages:
- Eagles -1.8 (13th)
- Essendon +5.6 (6th) => We are 7.4 points/game better off
Turnovers:
- Eagles -13.0 (16th)
- Essendon -12.0 (15th) => We are 1.0 points/game better off
Defensive Half:
- Eagles -14.2 (17th)
- Essendon -5.6 (11th) => We are 8.6 points/game better off
In total, we better 14.6 points/game better on scoring differential - and our biggest advantage isnāt scoring from Stoppages but scoring from Defensive Half.
Over the last 5 weeks we are about a 2-3 goal better team. And itās on their home ground where they are they are a demonstrably better side.
It will be a tight game but we should get over the line.

Heās a travelling emergency. There is no VFL. Odds are he wonāt be needed.
Iām sure Hayes is fine with not having to fly an eight hour round trip just to have a quick kick on a Friday arvo.
