Annoys me a bit that Carlton’s normal game plan of bomb it into McKay and Curnow can’t be picked off by Reid, Ridley and McKay.
I dunno what our changes this week need to be, but they are gonna be harder to defend than Brisbane for that reason I think.
Anyhow, looking forward to the match. Hope we play well.

Looks bad on paper, but it’s been a very long time since Curnow and McKay have come together to punish a team.
ATM they are overrated. I hope we go in small again.
Curnow is hitting the scoreboard though. He’s averaged over 3 goals a game over the last 6 rounds.
dont think mckay will speed things up to play on his brother, they both like to pull injuries a week or two out from playing on each other. Last year was the first time they had ever played against each other

I’m not sure us bringing in a ‘tall’ defender given our stocks is going to change that.

Probably right. Maybe we just need to have someone else work back and make sure they are always flying against two. Duursma maybe?

I don’t mind this, except Guelfi stays in ahead of day-wicks. His fwd pressure is helping a lot.

If we only win one game for the rest of the season? Fine.
I’d like it to be this one.

Every week I feel the need to silence the cries from the peanut gallery for a particular player to be dropped.
This week’s player being inexplicably targeted is Will Setterfield
Just shoosh and go away

Don’t get the anti Setterfield and Gresham reactions after last week. Especially since some of these people want to replace them with Shiel & Parish who were average, at best, in the VFL.

No chance Scott drops a tough body in Setterfield against a contested team. Not a chance.

Out: Hobbs & ADW (Perkins sub)
In: Gerreyn & Parish (Tsatas into the 22)
B: McGrath Gerreyn Prior
HB: Redman Laverde Roberts
C: Clarke Setterfield Duursma
HF: Martin Caddy Merrett
F: Kako 2MP Guelfi
R: Goldstein Caldwell Durham
I/C: Gresham Parish Tsatas Johnson
Sub: Perkins
Emg: Hobbs ADW Visentini
Maybe McMahon gets a gig over Gerreyn in defence. Wouldn’t be against Hobbs/ADW staying in ahead of Parish if we want to give him another week.
Seems obvious this week.
ADW out Parish in.
Perkins goes forward.
Tsatas more than likely sub again.
i think one of our msd picks comes in for Day-Wicks - likely McMahon, adds some more heigt and experience and can swing back to defence if required.
Hard to know whether Parish has done enough, but i would have him over Hobbs.

I would keep Tsatas but I think:
Out: Tsatas and ADW
In: McMahon & Parish
Sub: Hobbs
Parish was very underwhelming in the VFL, to the point of looking disinterested.
Fair enough CJ, I only saw a couple of quarters or so throughout the day but thought Parish looked a class above the week before, so would probably be ready by now.

Describes about 80-90% of his career so unsurprising.
Careful, you are letting your bias show.

I think Davey needs a chance soon, we need to see if he has it or not before years out. Even if its just sub.
