Changes vs GC 2025

Reid and Ridley can warm their way back into it through the VFL, just to protect them.

Langford in, going on this years form, will make us a worse team.

When is everyone going to learn. elijah won’t get another game in the red and black! Our super coach hates him, if he hasn’t been able to get a game in front of Hobbs and Perkins ,Gresham who have been outright putrid he is never going to play

Wouldn’t be tinkering with the squad too much at all this week.

Tracking beautifully at the minute.

For many reasons, I think Tsatas deserves a few more games this year…
Surely we give him a go over Shiel?.. The kid is gonna be great somewhere, is probably clearly ahead of a few players atm and is delicious trade bait…
Lets find out for sure and not regret him wanting to leave… Or jack his price up?
Our season is done, so I’m weirdly hoping for an under performing mid field injury, so he can have a real crack… (not really hoping for an injury, but it will force BS’s hand)

Early changes

OUT: Duursma, Blaki, Perkins, Hobbs
IN: Durham, Reid, Redman, Langford

Team

Prior Reid McGrath
Redman Lav Roberts
Martin Caldwell Clarke
Langford May Laul
2MP Caddy Guelfi

Vigo Setters Merrett

Bench: Durham Parish Johnson Gresham
Sub: Kako

Wouldn’t be playing Langford. Keep the May, Caddy, Wright forward line.

Reid for Blakiston
Redman for Duursma (Roberts onto a wing)
Durham for Hobbs
Ridley for Perkins (Gresham to sub)
Goldstein for Visintini

McGrath Reid Laverde
Prior Ridley Redman
Roberts Setterfield Lual
Durham Wright Martin
Kako May Caddy
Goldstein Caldwell Merrett
Johnson Parish Clarke Guelfi
Gresham

He didn’t get much of the ball and his ball use wasn’t as flash either.

surely too early to be essingtoned.

if he had the ball as much as mcGrath and McGrath had less disposals. would have gone a long way to us being closer or winning

If we go back to the 2 ruck set up, I think I’ll cry.

Genuine question

Who has offered more as the forward/second ruck

Draper or 2MP?

In all seriousness, post bye I would look to do the following:

Durham for Perkins
Reid for Blakiston
Ridley for Lav
Redman for Duursma (Clarke to a wing)

And I’d bring one of Smartt or ADJ in for Gresham to give them a chance at a list spot next year.

Langford can bide his time in the 2s.

Haven’t looked at the stats, so I’m sure someone will provide evidence that I’m wrong. However, I thought Draper was excellent early in the year, as long as you can get over the kicking around the corner thing.

We can’t bring everyone in at once (or drop everyone).
Lav and Prior have been pretty solid in a completely undermanned defence for the last month so they stay for now and I’d give Ridley (or Reid) another week or 2 no point rushing all our key players back at once given the season is shot.
Likewise if there’s any doubt at all with Duursma then we shouldn’t risk him, Perkins and Hobbs have been poo & should go back to the reserves but Brad wont drop Perkins. So early shout I’d go;-

OUT: Duursma, Hobbs, Blaki, Vigo
IN: Durham, Redman, Reid, Goldy

Prior Reid McGrath
Redman Lav Roberts
Martin Caldwell Clarke
Perkins May Laul
2MP Caddy Guelfi

Goldy Setters Merrett

Bench: Durham Parish Johnson Gresh
SUB: Kako

Langford & Ridley can come in the following week against the Tigers

Ide be playing vigo on the back of this weeks game. He now gets a week off with bye. The kid did more than ok. Not sure playing goldy in front of him should happen from here on in if hes fresh. Perkins should miss, but what would i/rest of the planet know

This is going to be one of those annoying games we should be losing for the sake of our end of year draft/trade scenarios, but we will pull something out of nowhere… especially with a few players set to return.

Still… Gold Coast by 30.

Close the thread until closer to the game. Can’t we enjoy the bye with peace and quiet not thinking about garbage coming back.

If we see a ton of plodders come back into the team over all these young kids.

We should officially be on the “Sack Scott” train.

Kako sub? Gresham playing? Hmmm.
