Be pretty annoyed if Hobbs is passed up in favour of Shiel this week after being first emergency last week.
Our treatment of some of our younger players this year has been head scratching. From them missing weeks to playing out of position, its not been a great year for that.

True. But Shiel also had a great game and should be in frame for selection because of it.

It would be nice if they missed but Durham has been a driving force for us this year. Hope he is ok.
Pies have shown time and time again it doesn’t matter who misses for them, they’ll just plug in some player and they’ll still be in the game no matter the opponent.

Depends on what attributes Scott wants to bring into the side as they are pretty different players. Not as simple as favoring one over the other I don’t think.
They have, absolutely.
But they’ve also shown when a significant amount of players are missing… they can be quite vulnerable. Quite heavy losses to GWS & Sydney, unexpected losses to St Kilda, Western Bulldogs & Gold Coast… and sneaking over the line at home against the Crows (4 points) and North (1 point) prove they can be gettable, just like we can be.

Hobbs didn’t even get a game. Our management seems shithouse to me.
