I really don’t understand the Clarke selection. Not that he was bad, but Johnson was better, he was named first emergency last week, no VFL game for Clarke to impress, but he gets selected instead??? How was Johnson closer last week but Clarke this week?

Couldn’t be bothered to look at their full list of changes but last year Tigers had:
Martin, Bolton, Balta, Nank, Baker, Short, D Rioli, Prestia & Pickett all playing.
But no Taranto & Hopper (Lynch also didn’t play).

I don’t my mind these changes - great to see Clarke debut and I don’t mind Gresham as a footballer. Bit surprised with Guelfi though but guessing he will be SUB. Think we line up something like;-

Playing Vigo here is a no brainer, tigers resting their ruck and we should be doing the same. Goldy is a warrior but if we don’t look after him he will break down too

Have people asking whether we will change the team based on weather or opposition followed the Bombers under Scott? He just won’t do it.
Richmond have named a proper mosquito fleet. Average team, but watch them play the conditions infinitely better than us.

Hasn’t Clarke been playing forward in the 2’s since he returned from injury? It’ll be interesting to see what role BS has in mind for him.
I can see him playing as that dynamic half forward type who brings line breaking, overlap-handball receives and tackle pressure which we currently lack.
Having said that, even Justin Bieber on crack knows Johnson should be playing instead of Laverde.
