Apparently Skippy kicked 11.2 in his time at Essendon. That’s Daniher like accuracy.

Actually think it would need to be someone of similar size & hence mechanics.

Simon Madden is almost JD’s height, similar in limb length and was an absolute fkn dead eye in front of the sticks, … also happens to be around the club a lot.

Super Scotty certainly might have instructed some sweeping round onto the Left cannon from outside 50 though …

The Fish?

I remember Madden as having a very unique action - jabbing at the ball without the big follow through. Lucas followed through knee-to-nose. As long as it’s one and not both coaching him…

Play on!

Not so secret… Scott Lucas

Will we pull a selection surprise and go an inside , close checking player like Hocking or Bird?

Parish will be in for Howlett you’d think.

Could Buddha or Bird come in for Myers?

Reckon you’re on the money, Hocking and Parish in, Myers and Howlett out

Really? Well that’s excellent news, do you know how long they have been working together?

Had an inkling. The way Scotty has been talking about it in his club media roles has changed in the last 6-7 weeks.

Hence JD trying to boot them from 70m out.

I know they are trying to protect him but MC grath must be brought into the midfield rotations. His vision and handball is elite elite. His kicking is excellent. It leaves a slight problem to backfill his defence role , but surely he is potentially more damaging on the defensive side at stoppages. Solve the problem and get him in there!

Worsfold did reference this last week I think. Spoke about how he spent some time in the midfield in the last qtr against Port. Didn’t start in the centre square but came in off the wing and stayed inside the contest. Would expect with the bye and the further training in this area that would continue throughout the 2nd half of the year. As good as he is, they’re mindful of not putting him in there where he’s likely to get bashed around a bit by the bigger bodies. Coming off the wing or back of the square seems a great option for him, in rotation with Walla and Fantasia. All 3 are able to use the agility and speed to great effect to break away from the stoppage giving us good clean clearances.

I get the impression they are protecting the younger guys a bit, and thats a good thing.

One way to introduce this is as follows: Station Raz and Pidge at the back of the square at centre bounces. Either Raz or Pidge, each time run in at the bounce. The other picks up the forward in case we lose the clearance. Raz can play off HBF so its not a problem.

As for back half stoppages, there will be gradual involvement especially when his opponent goes into a stoppage and Pidge follows him in. For forward half stoppages, Pidge would take up a position in the zone.

That combo gives him an introduction into centre bounces and defensive half stoppages as well.

is it Friday yet? Fuaaaark can’t wait

This is our hardest challenge for the rest of the year easily. Win this, and we’re gonna hit the next month of footy (all very winable games) as probably the form side of the comp
