Changes vs the Orange Team

Track and field isn’t what we need right now.

Outside of maybe an injury why are people dropping Davey or Mass?

They were not the reason we lost, and still did plenty of good amongst a few mistakes. They are kids, still doing ok, not looking completely overawed or tired.

Mass had 27 disposals, used is generally pretty well and some great delivery I50. If only some of our other players, were half as good even under no pressure.

Davey presents and takes some good marks for his size. He had StK players nervous when in the area from his chasing/tackling.

They need to stay in for now.

If we are dropping anyone take your pick from Hep, Lav, Stringer, Weid/Jones. Couple of other senior blokes could count themselves very lucky.

I’m a mass fan but I think defensively he was poor last night.

I think that’s what most people are getting at.

I get that but I would not drop him on this game for that.

He had plenty of senior mates who were just as poor defensively.

So much running around not impacting

Dependent on what happens in today’s VFL game, if Hobbs is good again, I would at least have

Out: Heppell
In: Hobbs

If Voss kicks another bag of goals, I would also have

Out: Weideman
In: Voss

But I doubt they would actually have the balls to do it.

(Edit: I also don’t know who would be the back up ruckman in that scenario, so maybe I haven’t thought that part through, but Weideman was pretty useless at it.)

Out Hepp, injuries?

Posted this in review thread…
Voss in the fwd line is necessary. He desrves his chance. Hopefully kicks a bag today. He especially brings a physical presence which we lack. Maybe his presence lets Jones and Weed play to their strengths. He will physically hurt a few defenders throughout a game. No other forward does that and we need it. I doubt we see 2MP this year so let’s find out. Stringer FP, Weeds FF, Jones HFF, VOSS CHF. 2 smalls.
I’d also have Voss charge at the centre bounce occasionally to tackle, shepherd. Let oppo mids know he’s around too.

In: VOSS, BZT
OUT: Heppell (managed), Hind (sub), Massimo

EMG Massimo (Sub), Phillips, HOBBS, Hind

Massimo wasn’t terrible but need to fit BZT into backline. and he can be sub

could also play one of Davey, Menzie sub and have Mass on the bench. depending on injuries / workloads

we had 8 goals kicked by small forwards, although Mass did well with the ball. don’t think BDB was happy with defence.

LOL what is this. yeah, you sure showed us with pointing out JONESYS SPEED

Its his average speed, it shows how hard he works.

Do you not think out running your opponent is hard work?

If I see this it will confirm we are still a pathetic club. We need to grow some and say it as it is

Heppell (Dropped)

A lot of good it did him

if you think he works hard, thats great. perhaps we just need a team full of blokes who just run. a team of athletes perhaps

He works hard, he’s just not being particularly effective at the moment. He was better than Weed imo.

I think he should be dropped for Voss because hes out of form, he still works hard though.

We just lost to a team who out ran us all across the field so ye, good runners are very valuable in a sport that requires a lot of running.
