Not entirely accurate though is it? The leaked demands seem to indicate they didn’t just want to sit down with the coaches and tell their truth?
If they’re going to to public and put this in the public domain the first thing they need to do is be honest.

What did they indicate?
They had a whole list of demands they required that the parties agree to prior to mediating.

The report claims the 18 demands for both coaches, former Hawks staffer Jason Burt and the football club are: truth-telling, acknowledgment, explanation, apologies, apologise for conduct of others, public apologies, contrition, education, revised club practices and policies, AFL racism review, recommendations, compensation fund, re-capitalisation of the compensation fund, claims process, reparations, joint media statement, non-disparagement agreement and termination of all legal claims.

Interesting too that Leon Egan was the Hawk’s Indigenous Liaison Manager and not a player. He spoke out last year after Cyril and Shannyn Rioli did.

Pretty gutsy to go public after Fagan threatened to out them. They called his bluff. He played right into their hands by showing what lengths he was willing to take. Exactly the sort of heavy-handedness that is allegedly at the centre of this situation.
And they can’t say now that it was a few disgruntled players who never got a game. It’s one of their - and the football public’s - favourite sons.

Didn’t Fagan say one wasn’t Aboriginal? Those four all are indigenous. Are there more players involved?
I think it was Burt that said they are all first nations but not all Aboriginal. Not eure how that works if I’m completely honest.
