Iāve had that at EFC games in the members area.
I told the guy to pull his head in, and he shaped up to me!
Bloke was about 80 years old and had to be restrained by his 80 year old wife.
Luckily I didnāt have to give him a tune up.

Iām just hoping it goes to the Federal Court jurisdiction so we can hear both parties, under oath, give their account of what happened / was said and all contextual background can be explained so we get a sense of the conversations had. Until then itās just trial be media. The context is everything, without it we can take either sides remarks literally which is always drought with danger.
Does the Federal Court have jurisdiction to cover this sort of case?

I donāt claim expertise, but I thought Federal jurisdiction is mostly limited to cases where a Federal agency is a litigant, or where Federal law prevails over any State law ( or where the Fed law is the law at issue).
I understood that the Fed Court was set up to fill the vacuum of litigants forced to go straight to the High Court when a State didnāt have jurisdiction to rule on a case.
Otherwise it would be the State Supreme Court. I donāt see any problem with it being litigated through the Vic Supreme Court, as all the alleged actions occurred in Victoria.

The primary allegations refer to Federal legislation, the Racial Discrimination Act. That Act relies on the foreign affairs power for its validity because Australia is a signatory to the International Convention to Eliminate all forms of Rcical Discriminiation.

When I heard a solicitor for the families previously saying that the case was not about the literal truth I was worried it could be a beat-up. But the allegations are pretty clear and shocking. It will be fascinating to see the responses.
There is more about Burt discouraging players from having agents (he even offers to act himself for free, para 41). Heidelberg residents should avoid paragraph 63.
Our own David Flood is said to be present when Burt tells Petersonās pregnant partner that HFC encouraged Peterson not to be a father (para 60).
Constantly indigenous are encouraged not to have kids and prevented from seeing seriously unwell or dying relatives. When Rioli wants to retire after a string of incidents he gets a text from the HFC media team. It says if he will not sit down with Jeff, then HFC will leak a story to control the narrative (para 102). The families try to put their side (including through Egan) but are almost always ignored.
It is all allegations but it paints an awful picture of manipulative, lethal paternalism. It seems to all be justified by HFC wrapping themselves in the flags.

As a former Heidelbergian, Iād just note that Heidelberg proper was then between Upper and Lower Heidelberg Road, Bulleen across the Yarra, sandwiched between Rosanna and Eaglemont. It was considered a different suburb from Heidelberg Heights and West Heidelberg.
