Will Australia sign the Paris Climate Accord?
LOL
Will Australia sign the Paris Climate Accord?
Yep, but in a meaningless way, just like all others Climate Accords.

This one (without reading the whole thing) seems a lot more direct than ones of the past
Signing it is one thing.
Actual action is another.
We need to get this right.
Mandatory solar panels on homes and businesses. Keep in mind solar can be stored and also fed into the grid.
More wind farms - thank god Abbott’s pathetic wind energy policy has been sent to hell.
Develop hydroelectricity - not just from dams, but desalination plants across the country.
The cost will be worth it in the end.
And yes a carbon pollution reduction scheme run on the open market.
Plus a carbon tax - which we have all seen DOES NOT raise energy prices - another proven lie told by Abbott and the climate sceptics and tax avoiders.
Now as I understand it This means that Polar Bear mince will drop drastically in price. Great times to be an Inuit.

Spot on. Any international treaty or agreement we sign means fark all until we legislate it here. It’s nothing more than an agreement ‘in principle’ which always seems to be lost on the press. Then we get the usual misdirection, apathy of time passed, shifting of goal posts and by the time anything is on the table it’s effectively nothing. The only thing we risk by signing these agreements is ■■■■■■■ off the international community. That didn’t used to be much of a problem. It’s becoming one though which is really the only interesting thing about Australia’s involvement.

I knew it.
