Supposed to? It is getting hotter.

■■■■■■ cold here this winter. We have lost many plants due to severe frosts. Bring on this warmer weather,

Maybe the diminishing solar activity will offset AGW and we will all live happily ever after.

So based on that we will have no rainforests in 10 months.

Hard to believe anything in that articles given author has obviously failed to do any due diligence or fact checking at all.

Actually - just saw that the article was written seven years ago.

Do these people just make things up?

Not sure on your maths.

The article says half of 4 billion forest is gone. So 2 billion left.

A usage rate of 2.8 million a month gives 28 million in 10 months??

I have no idea if the figures in the article are correct, but -

2% of earth’s surface works out to 736,077,509 acres.
10 months destruction is 28,000,000 acres.

Ahh yes. You are right of course. Even I make mistakes sometimes.

Lucky for them they don’t live in Orange or Dubbo

Technically an ice age is a period with substantial land ice. We’ve been in one for a few million years. Ice ages have glacial periods where that ice expands. What gets commonly called the ice age is strictly speaking the last glacial period. We’re currently in an interglacial period.

Didn’t know where else to put this. Big issue if we are just stockpiling and dumping our recyclables.

You know that money you pay to tyre retailers for disposal and recycling.

Can’t wait for one of those self driving electric cars that go super fast.

Right thread?

There’s a Tesla thread somewhere. Also a car thread.

They do go super fast.

Global Warming, Anthropogenic Global Warming, Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming, Climate Change and now

Time for a name change.
What’s next? Global Cooling.

There is supposed to be a trial of driverless cars on the Tulla freeway. Won’t be going too fast with the traffic jams there atm

You do realise that climate and weather are different yeah?

Transurban trying to demonstrate their capabilities ahead of any future shift to autonomous cars. They want to make sure the government keeps turning to them to fund road infrastructure.
