Today, for the wife's birthday, we first went to the footy (she's a bulldog), then caught a random comedy act -
'What Would Spock Do?' Worth seeing if you like stage acting. it was more that than comedy - but the guy is pretty talented, and gets his message across well.
Al Murray - if you do see this guy - don’t be late.
Very very smart - as are all good comedians imo. Spent most of the show interacting with the audience (including myself). We laughed the whole set. Well worth it.

Saw Tim Vine a few years ago. I laughed so hard I felt sick by the end. There is no time to recover, he’s relentless.
Went and saw Simon Taylor on Friday after seeing him at a preview show at the start of the festival. Very funny, I reckon we’ll hear more from him in the next couple of years. Seeing Kyle Kinane later this week.
It’s good to have a nice guy comedian with actual jokes and with clever spin on words and phrases …
Actual jokes …
You get tired of seeing a lot of wannabe comedians that are all style over substance or that don’t actually write much of anything for their show, then people just laugh at anything they say because of the style and not the substance…

Yep, sometimes you don’t want to have Leftist fundamentals with ironic observations shoved down your throat. (not that I don’t like the Wil Anderson brigade, I generally do like that style a lot)
But sometimes you just want to laugh at silly jokes, and considering I’m still giggling at some of Tim’s jokes, I reckon it’s close to the funniest show I’ve ever been to. Certainly the most I’ve ever laughed.
