Tbh I can’t say there’s a pasta variety I don’t enjoy.

It looked amazing. I think for heavy sources, in Malta they use tabular pasta.

Conchiglie is an abomination

Don’t listen to them em, I love that pasta with a good ragu, it soaks up the sauce nicely!

Tonight I made a poached fish dish. It was very nice. I’ll use half the suggested water next time I think, or buy more fish. Either way, I’ll be making it again. I love fish.

Cooked a T-bone on the grill with some salad and potato salad. Also some garlic butter on the steak.

Those salads feature regularly in your food posts. That potato salad in particular looks awesome!

Okra? How’d that go?

EFA… :wink:

Ragu with pasta is a funny one. I like ragu, but everything someone serves it on pasta with cheese I’m all like - you could have made a bolognaise, it would have been cheaper, taken a quarter of the time and probably tasted better

Cheaper = Yeap
Quicker = Yeap
Tastes better = AW HELL NO!!!

OK I thought, I didn’t mind it, crispy on the outside, a bit mushy inside.

Nobody else touched it though.

Oh and I’ve been biting my tongue, but absolutely cracking up laughing.

Surely I’m not the only one seeing the delicious irony of that fish recipe being posted here on blitz.

I’m giving her recipe a go in a couple of weeks time for a Greek dinner I’m hosting. Her Greek roast potatoes are excellent.

I’ll also give her spanakopita a go,

i’m beginning to wonder if her recipes are translations of that green/blue/red cookbook that all yiayias have

Interesting. I’ll check mum’s when I’m there next.
