I’m doing this one tonight. It’s that kind of weather.

Perfect winter dish. Enjoy!!

Done a bit of cooking today:

Kind of like a spanakopita sort of thing, no filo pastry. Saw it on one of the Greek cooking channels I follow on Insta so thought I’d give it a go. Nice lunch option, will take some to the footy tomorrow!

Made this for dinner. One pan garlic chicken and rice. Again saw it on Insta. Seriously good and dead easy to make. Used chicken thigh fillet (skin on), spice rub I put on 6 hours before cooking. Will definitely cook this semi-regularly!

Baked chicken and rice is one of my all time fave comfort foods. Elite.

Put some Greek yougurt through it or on the side. Yum.

Help me settle a dispute. I boiled a cauliflower, including the outer ruffage, which I ate. Partner says thats disgusting. Is it?

I don’t have a massive issue with it. Not that I’ve ever done that but waste not, want not. I like eating celery leaves and that’s not normally the done thing so :man_shrugging:.

Very disgusting.

Celery leaves are fine. But I mainly keep them to make stock.

Have you ever tried it? When boiled its really just taste like a very mild spinach and has a nice texture, very much like celery when boiled.

I don’t want to try it

I’ll never be as weird as you though.

I diiscard the rougher outer leaves which get stringy. The inner leaves are one of the great stir fry ingredients IMO. And when really small and fresh/tender, they are superb just crunched raw. Peppery but sweet at the same time.

It’s like the inside of a skinned broccoli stalk - one of the best bits of veg you can buy - and they are thrown out.

Keep eating them.

I’ve looked at that many times but not made it? It tastes good? And makes a proper evening meal?

I think it does both. I’ve been eating this sort of soup my whole life as it’s a Greek staple dish but this recipe is much better than any I have tried :joy:. If you want it to be more filling have some bread with it but for me it doesn’t need it.
