Coping Mechanisms - How Do We Handle This?

I’m quite grateful that our wretched season is about to draw to a close, as I need a break from the toxic waste dump of emotions that following this club has become. We’re a pretty engaged bunch, as evidenced by the amount of time most of us spend on Blitz, so naturally the club’s fortunes can affect our day to day.

What are people doing to lessen the negative impact of this awful, awful club on their lives?

Practical hints, words of wisdom, advice to fellow victims?

Please leave out the “Cancel your membership” and “spill the board” stuff, there’s threads for that.

Speaking of beer, I know a club that would like you to hold theirs.

I’ve taken to making jokes at the expense of the club. It helps keep my thoughts a little on the light hearted side.

I’ve started following the VFL a lot more closely, and the VFLW this year.

It helps, but it’s not the same.

Next year I might start going to SANFL games again.

The Jewish method of comedic coping. It’s quite valid.

I’m still following the careers of some of the guys that won the esports title for us.

Yeah, it’s not the same either.
