Cops Shot in USA again - Up to 8 wounded 3 dead Reported

Can you point out an instance where a black or female cop shot an unarmed black man ... or child with a toy, or an attendant helping an autistic patient, or someone with their hands up? .. or a blackman in a car with his child in the backseat as he tried to get his ID .. which he'd just been asked to produce??

Give it a go, and get back to me.

Forgotten Lisa Mearkle already? What about young autistic boy Jeremy Mardis does he count? Gilbert Collar & Dillon Taylor ringing any bells for ya? Do you really believe that black officers are not just as capable of excessive force as their white counterparts? I’m not doubting for a second that male officers are more likely to be involved in all forms of violence but when you look at the real facts on violence in the US, it beggars belief that anyone could even suggest that black officers are somehow immune to the use of excessive force. As we keep hearing the amount of shootings involving police is a high figure but people like yourself only cherry pick the very few that fit your narrative. Hundreds of whites have been shot by police this year, does it matter to you if any, many or a significant % were non-white officers? Like I said you are only looking for blacks being killed by whites so that’s all you will find.

Nice googling, I was sure there’d be a couple over an extended period of time, it is America after all, but it’s a bit strawman don’t you think?

I’m not sure you get it. If you can’t see how heavily weighted the numbers are for white cop on unarmed black man (& child) shootings, so be it, ICBF.

I suppose all the retaliation and black lives matter furore is totally unnecessary then? They clearly have no reason for it seeing as a few go the other way.

Be sure & let them all know, won’t you.

Over an extended period? They are all in the last 2 years FFS & it was you who was stupid enough to try to suggest it was only white cops killing blacks, I merely highlighted that you are displaying irrational bias. If I wanted to include unarmed whites shot by white officers there are loads more in that category too. You obviously don’t care about them because again you only want to hear about white police killing blacks.

Do only black people have phone cameras?

sigh Ok champ, I give up. Believe as you please.

Heard (taken at face value and haven't bothered to confirm) that more police officers are shot by black people than vice versa. Guess it makes you wonder whether the chicken or egg came first.

shaking my head at this
And it’s relevant, let alone remarkable, that criminals (of any colour) shoot more protectors of the peace than vice-versa, how exactly?

“Protectors of the peace”

You don’t have much to do with the police do you?

I generally find, people that take this attitude tend to do ■■■■ or have done ■■■■ that has ■■■■■■ police off.

I deal with police nearly every day and they are mostly phenomenal.

My sister spent ten years in the cops, did heaps of work with programs to help kids get out of gang culture backgrounds, broken homes, etc. Made a huge difference to heaps of kids. She also ended up with PTSD after ten years of being spat at, verbally and physically assaulted by drug/drunk/■■■■■■■ jerks for trying to protect other people and uphold the law, and generally just having to deal with the absolute scum of society. Sure, there are wankers in the police force, just as there are in any walk of life, but anyone who wants to slag off the job they do and the role they play in society can go and get farked as far as I’m concerned.

And I’ve been to a few countries with no law and order, or even worse, absolute corruption in control, and I’ll take our system any day of the week.

I’ll champion the good ones and slag the jerks.
I see plenty of people in high pressure jobs. And I see people who should not be doing those jobs.

I think I know some of the people you are talking about and I agree with you.

I am related to a couple of people who have spent decades as policemen. What I said above was based on seeing the video of several incidents involving black people and white police officers, and while there were differing circumstances, they all involved police not dealing appropriately with the circumstances they were confronted with.

Police by nature have a need to form an opinion very quickly and act on it, because their life can depend on it.

I would never do the job myself, although I don’t mind doing difficult jobs, I’m not suited to it. You have to be arrogant enough to believe you are right based on limited information. Which means that those who aren’t good at it need to be weeded out quickly because if your judgement is bad, you make some pretty serious errors.

I’m the first to admit it is a very hard job which is underappreciated, both my brother and my father paid physical and mental consequences for their service and were medically retired. Interestingly despite being a policeman and a boxer, my father taught his four boys that fighting never got you out of trouble, but only lead to more.

This was consistent with his police philosophy that you were better off being shot that shooting someone, it was less trouble. He didn’t get shot, and that was probably no coincidence.

The standard of training of US police officers is less than that of PSO officers here.
Completely agree. I remember watching a series of documentaries on police academies and the training was incredibly unprofessional, as was the conduct of the recruits.

But that one guy making all sorts of animal noises was impressive.
