COVID-19 - politics, blame and point scoring goes here

She’s a tool most of the time.

But unless these guys had just done something violent prior to this incident then these cops should lose their badge.

Does anyone know if there was any prior context to this? Surely there has to be?

I recognise the noise of that camera and that’s a very convenient edit.

how did they go from behind the truck, to 10 metres in front of it in an instant???

All complaints are under investigation. There was one blown up of a security guard for a commercial media outiet - refused to give his name and explanation why he was there etc…

And, the background noise sounded like guns firing, when the sound came from the truck.

Isn’t that Rushken or old mate with eyebrow’s camera?

Ok. Got it. So in the intervening period (the edited out part) they must have taken on the cops physically and the cops have responded.

Make sense. I’m ok for the cops to respond with force if met with violence.

Also true to form Rita showing a half truth in the guise of a full truth.

Doesn’t sound like you agreeing with everything Marshall has done. You need a holiday.

Dunno what the ‘rules of engagement are’ for cops, but given all the other ■■■■ that the rioters were up to, im personally ok with this.

Usually i would be anti cop. But something different about the current mob.

I’ve said all along I don’t agree with everything he has done. I don’t follow leaders blindly like many on here.
He has been exceptional in most areas but there are areas he could and should improve.
I’m on holiday in under a month and hopefully early in the New Year I’ll be back in the UK

Dan vs Gladys
Let’s not factor in % vax which will make poor old Dan’s approach even worse…

Don’t you ever get tired of looking like a mong

Facts and data. Always tough for the staunch mong.

what does the data tell you sage? can you tell me the story behind the numbers, not just your narrative?

I know what point you are trying to make. But what’s the X axis denoting?

numbers

Poor vax ‘rate’ equals not enough vax.
Not just for Victoria, but for everyone in Australia, but yes for Victoria in comparison to NSW.

I’m keen to hear what Andrew’s “approach” is, too.

Days since first case.

Tells me that nothing has worked with large Delta incursions. Both states have tried different methods but unfortunately neither have worked. Of course NSW could have gone harder earlier but maybe they would still be in a similar position

All of the comparison graphs I have seen (including the ones done by Blitzers) are flawed I think.

The reason is that they all start Victoria from the date of the sixth lockdown (or thereabouts).

It’s generally acknowledged however that this outbreak actually is a continuation of the outbreak that started the 5th lockdown. So really all the Victorian graphs should start three or so weeks earlier.

When you do that the comparison between us and NSW is more favourable.

What say you @theDJR and other graph experts? I could be wrong of course.
