Crichton Medal 2024

Took a shot at Stringer.

Not sure if others saw/heard this tonight… from Kyle Langford interviewed at the Crichton Medal red carpet… RE: Jake Stringer

“I guess it’s never a players place to comment too much on contracts, but he is contracted. I guess if he rocks up tonight it gives us a fair idea where his heart is at and where the clubs heart is at. So yeah, if we see him tonight it gives us a good indication of where he’ll be next year”

In other threads people are bemoaning that no one is telling us anything. He is telling us things and laying it on the line. No more excuses, get on with it.

Sure it is just words, but they are at least the right words. Telling us we have spent and rebuilt and now we must get up the ladder and win premierships.

He did.

Is he there?

What did he say?

Well tonight it is all words! We’re not playing again till March 2025!

I thought it interesting that instead of starting with thanking him like he did Sheeds and the retiring players, he said it buried deeper in the speech.

I don’t have a problem with what he said, they are the right things to say… but the concern is that they’re not translated into success

so let’s see / hope they do what they say we need to do

When’s he going to fix his ear?

Thought the same thing.

Also thought it was interesting that he clapped the sponsor and not Sheedy

Did chuckle when big Dave said ‘we now have a detailed list management strategy’ insinuating this something new for the club lol
