Out of interest, what was Heppell’s points per game after 1 year as captain?
Can’t see Merrett dipping below 8ppg, I can see his current output remain until his early 30s. And If it drops it’s only because other players have finally started to come to the party, which is what we want.

You’ve included J. Watson career games tally. He only played 88 games from 2012-2017.
The adjustment would put him slightly below Z.Merrett in that table (would be 9-10 PPG).

I’d love for Merrett to be considered as highly as Ablett.
But that’s not realistic.
I’ll settle for him to be like Skilton.
It’s not like Skilton is a scrubber…
I think BJ is held in tremendous regard by the fan base, super footballer.

Just joking about the pretzels. It did actually show he cared whether we played well or not, you know, rather than ( symbolically) sitting on a fence during a game and that sort of thing.

Brownlow votes are the best measure of performance….but….sheesh
I both think Zac is a great player but at the same time is a big fish in a little pond. He is probably our best for both elite performance and consistency for getting himself on the park.
Unfortunately in the last 5 years he has had little competition.
