#3 Darcy "Darcy Parish" Parish - Shiel can play forward pocket instead

I heard Darcy had to do 50% more because Francis did 50% less.

That’s only 50% true.

Clutched that kick to seal us the win against Melbourne in his second game.

His kicking is fine, you carnts are just farked.

14 years in the red and black sounds good to me.

Are Brisbane changing their colours?

You’re a f###WIT

I'm 50/50 can't make my mind.

You might be bisectual?

( Not that …etc )

Don’t tell everyone!

It’s an even money bet.

In the Guy McKenna based article about the midfield that appeared on the club website today, Darcy rated 6 mentions. A lot more than any other midfielder discussed in the article. No prize for guessing which midfielder is impressing Bluey on the track.

Rumor is that he want's to go to Brisbane to play with his best mate.

why is it not the other way around?

Because it wouldn’t make sense!

“.mate best his with play to Brisbane to go to want’s he that is Rumor”

Has Anyone Really Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to do Look More Like?

Also saying just how much training workload Darcy had to endure compared to current crop given the circumstances. 50% more.

Amazing effort and season by Darce.

Good video too. Nice look at some stoppage work. Myers showing a bit if pace while turning , jobe dropping the shoulder again, hepp traping the ball on the ground and wiggling out, nice combinations by hand. When does nab start again?

Shane

Darcy's kicking has never been elite. His decision making and speed with regards to hands is. He's a superb midfielder but he's no TIPPA Zach or McKenna with regard to kicking. Darcy is all about moving the ball to more dangerous places.

Elite? That buzz word gets thrown around too readily. A bit like ‘Leader’.

Let’s make a judgememt in his 5th year, not when he’s been listed for 12 months.

His field kicking, particularly ~50m, is superb.

Fascinating post.

“Let’s make a judgement in his 5th year”, immediately followed by a judgement.

All that footage was from the start of the pre-season before the full list came together.

? All the returning players were in it.

Serious question: Assuming the likes of Clarke, McGrath have no injury issues, why would they not be loaded up in the same way Darce was last year (given that he seemed to respond amazingly well to it and will probably be even better off for it this year)?

The 10 returning players came back to training early along with the 1-4th year players. All the others joined a few weeks after.

It sounds like each draftee has a individually tailored program and Clarke and McGrath are already doing more than the others. First year players handling a load like Parish and Heppell are highly unusual, especially when the list has the luxury of depth.

Lets see how Parish handles the year anyway before we go making assessments about his program. There’s been plenty of second and third year players who’ve had a big pre-seasons but struggled with the extra size/workload when the season comes around.

I call BS.

Parish had an excellent year. But at this stage of the pre-season last year, all the lads were still onboard. No suspensions. So why would Parish have completed 50% more work at the start of last year than any of the draftees this year? Particularly when Clarke is an endurance beast and McGrath as close as you get to a professional athlete.

Maybe something has been lost in translation?
