He epitomises Essendon for the last 20 years:
- Essendon “old boy” - only knows Essendon, has never been involved at a successful club
- Zero success during his career
- Promoted to VP by stealth
- Vested interests / Property developer
- No doubt has links to coteries
He probably has business interests tied up with Dodoro.

He’s got my vote.
Made change when he said he would. One massive mistake which he rectified within 24 hours.
Other than that he’s changed the focus of the club back towards football rather than $$, removed people most wanted removed and hired others to make positive change.

He literally bought a block of land off Dodoro and Bomber Thompson for like $10,000,000 for development purposes immediately prior to bomber thompson joining essendon. Its disgusting. He also has ties wth Mark Casey, a coterie person.
If Welsh becomes pres, this club will be going nowhere.

I am open to hating on Welsh but right now I don’t understand the issue with him?
He is wealthy from property/real estate? So? It’s good to have some sort of leverage to attract players isn’t it? Just got to make sure it’s the right ones rather than Dylan Shiel.
He has connections with Dodoro and Bomber Thompson? So? I’d have said this was an issue if Dodoro was still around but finally, we can now say that he’s not.
So what’s Welsh done wrong or why is it bad for us if he becomes President?
