It’s such a broken hill/ country footy club thing to do.
The amount of breakfasts at the club I’ve had after the team has been smashed would be uncountable

I think there is a need for the whole club to come together, say what needs to be said, and move forward all on the same page over the next 12-13 weeks.
This is just an opportunity to do that. I suspect breakfast is really the only time which works for the AFL side - the rest of their day is probably already scheduled.

I hope Solomon lined all the players up today at breakfast from shortest to tallest and gave anyone over 195cm a badge that reads ‘Banned from Playing on the Wing’

It’s a bit gimmicky but don’t mind it. Definitely some divisions in the club and whilst I’m not sure this will fix everything it would be nice if the group can show some unity over the remainder of the season

I’m not a big fan, I’d prefer he’s not a coach in any capacity next year. That said I thought he spoke pretty well in that press conference.
He said Hurley is going to be defensive coach for the rest of the year and Garry Rohan taking on on more responsibility in the VFL.

Yea I am the same, but really impressed with how he handled that and his commitment to the club. Couldnt ask anymore of him.

good press conference. Said not even entertaining thought of being senior coach next year, just get the job done for now. You can almost rule him out off that.
