Brisbane are going to cut us to ribbons.

Even if Solomon had us playing at our best

That’s stupid. Who would think our senior players could win even VFL games? They would spit the dummy and sulk even more

Ridiculous comment. He’s 6 foot 4, as is Robey. He’s barely 1cm taller than Robey. He’s a competitor, wouldn’t hurt at all to get him into the game and also understand how it’s not always so easy to lace out à forward in modern day footy to perhaps stop his demeanour when it’s not lace out

Its not ridiculous. Its true.

Nate Caddy has afaik played his career up to now as a KPF. And we drafted him as so.
He’s kicked a few goals this season btw and burns to win. More so than most EFC footballers right now.

Moving him back will not only send a signal to him that he has to get out of Essendon to ply his trade, but to everyone else that we’re so useless an obviously talented young KPF cannot prosper in the slightest at Essendon.

He’s also been given some licence to get up the ground and does so. Otherwise let’s not fark up another kid mentally. There’s very little left up front when he’s not there either.

Actually turns out Sheezel was a better option scored 180

Maybe ask the guy if his interested in a different role as an experiment.

He has the tank the height and can take a Mark

I said in the match day thread that we have somehow built a list/team that is the slowest, lowest skilled and softest in the league.

It is incredible that we seriously excel at all 3. Normally if players are soft they are at least skilled/quick. Or if they lack pace and skill they are contested bulls. We somehow have a list of Parish, Perkins, McKay, Setterfield types who legitimately are poor in all areas of the modern game.

I’m not suprised. Our players simply do not tackle with any intent. In fact the way they tackle has me worried that they will end up hurting themselves. They reach out with their arms rather than using their bodies to take on the opposition’s body. This is because they are not close enough to the player because they are lazy! They decelerate into contact aswell when they should be using their momentum to help connect to the opposition making the tackle stick. It’s inexcusable because watching them attempt to tackle you can actually see that they cannot be bothered!

So EFC can be credited with moving Tsatas back there already. If so, one of their very few credits in recent times.

I never said back, I said on ball like Robey. For some 5-7 minute bursts. He should be a roaming forward, not a stay back in 50 type. Pushing up high to present à marking option where possible or at least neutralise à contest

I reckon the teams in the 70s would beat this mob. Steve copping would have kicked a bag against our backs even out temp ruck Max Crowe would have beaten Bryan with 1 hand whilst kicking 4 goals and these guys use to give it all on may maybe 50 bucks a week. I wonder if Tuddy is looking for a coaching role

That was part of the building of Geelong greatness - all the kids playing in that VFL premiership together

U know nothing about the game. Probably still clapping the boys down the race after a spanking. And they r laughing at you just waiting for pay day to arrive.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Ridley (in addition to Merrett) increasingly wanting out has been a bit of a ‘final straw’ that now sees other players like Caldwell, who will be 26 at the end of this season, realising that they aren’t particularly keen to endure the next 2-3 years at Essendon.
