Dick Reynolds Lunch Thursday 14th April - Team of the Country

I will be the guy with white hair and the Essendon tie, so say hello.

I will try to take some photos and give a report on who makes this team. With Sheeds and Timmy running the Show should be a great event.

Afterwards at Beer Deluxe !

Will you be there Koala !

not this one sorry mate! Enjoy!

For those interested, the Team picked was

B: Wanganeen, Brittingham, McClure
HB: N Daniher, Shelden, McDonald
C: Burgess, J Johnson, Long
HF: T Daniher, Merrett, Lucas
F: Maher, Coleman, Noonan
Ruck: Torney
Followers: T Watson, Birt

Bench: Baker, Duckworth, Neagle, Bushby, K Fletcher, Hawker

Pretty low key affair with Sheeds doing most of the talking, food was crap, but beer and wine flowed. Afterwards at Duke Of Wellington pub with Simon Madden, Glenn Hawker, Steve Carey, Terry Daniher was fun and interesting.

View from those who may know is that chance of all 12 players suspended coming back is 80% or better. Heppell and Hurley seen as certainties.

Sean Wellman has organized a get together with all 12 and ex Players next week. It is believed all including Jobe will attend.

No- one could explain Tim Watsons absence, but nothing sinister in it.

All the ex Players agreed that we would have a flag within 5 years, beer makes me optimistic as well.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that…

Yes I know John Coleman played for Hastings, but before that he went to University High, so it’s a technicality that he is a “country” boy.

Still, it is always great to have a reminder of the BEST PLAYER EVER.

But Coleman was born in Port Fairy.

Jason Johnson came from Lilydale, suppose that is country!
