Either there was a clash for both teams or for neither team.
Pretty sure I’ve seen everything blamed for this loss so far except for “Essendon played better football”.

And Ridley.
I’m not sure we can count Hurley as missing.
I really really want to see him in a few farewell games. But having Hurley on the best 22 whiteboard, especially when he’s still few months away, is just not the direction we’re heading.
Watching the last quarter now. Peter’s contested mark at half forward, which he then kicked to Stringer who handballed to Tippa for a goal, was the moment the won the game.
It was a strong piece of play and the crowd and players believed we have this.
The point I was trying to make is hearing about the Collingwood outs and how much it affected them. I agree with your sentiments about Hurley by the way but BT, Matthews et al can cry me a ■■■■■■■ river
plays
I think he ran through one too many brick walls in his day
If the Blues came to us now and offered Saad for Hind, we would laugh them out of the joint!!!
Saad is a great player but I’d much rather the bloke who loves the club, and is happy to play where they want him to any day of the bloody week
What if they threw in a first-rounder to make it interesting?
I need to know if WOB was sitting in the nose bleeds in the Olympic stand with a bloke dressed in a full Freo kit? I swear it was him, my guess is supported by the pile of empty bourbon cups left under his seat at the end of the game!
Watching the replay and by george Stringer was very very good. He let Pendles get away from him a couple of times at centre bounce but little blocks and touches and pressure and that goal.
Very happy with the captain today too. Was an absolute rock across hbf
McBride will be in before Hurley, and won’t go out again.
Welcome ShellShocked!
The team impressed me with skill level, not dropping marks, not too many bad hand passes kicking accurate etc.
But did that just mean Collingwood pressure was poor.
Of course it was. Remember we didn’t win today; Collingwood lost!
You sure of that ?
We’ve got to realise, there’ll be all sorts of excuses for Collingwood’s poor performance. The fact is, we dominated most of the game and, bar poor kicking, we’d have won by a much larger margin. Twenty-nine scoring shots to twenty really does say it: we were much better on the day.
