Draft Order & Done Deals

Keep your hair on!

Update with Gibbs deal. The crows get 77, carlton’s 2018 2nd & 3rd, carlton get 10, 16, 75, adelaide’s 2018 2nd. I think the blues have done very nicely out of that.

Updated with eagles/suns pick swap. The eagles get 21, 26, 37 and gold coast’s 2018 2nd round in exchange for 50 the eagles 2018 1st round

Aaron Young for a future 4th rounder. I’ll update it when a real trade happens.

Ditto Logan Austin and port’s 2018 4th for st kilda’s 2018 3rd.

Ha. West Coast wanted our picks but Footscray couldn’t deliver.

Sam Murray (who?), pick 70 and 2018 3rd from swans to collingwood for 2018 2nd

Looks like FC got a great deal for Gibbs… do the Crows know what DOB stands for?

Suns look to have done well out of the Eagles. Eagles seem to be taking the “fire enough bullets into a confined space and you are bound to hit something” approach to the draft.

Could be years before we see if it works.

Sam Gibson to the crows, pick 90 to north

Wilson and 71 to fremantle, 57 and 2018 2nd rounder to the giants. I reckon the dockers have smashed that.

Lobbe value just plummeted!!

Lobbe port get pick 95 from carlton
carlton get 28, 30, 2018 2nd from bulldogs for 16 and 40

Lang and 2018 4th from geelong to carlton for 58 and 2018 4th.

Less fun than most years, because there’s been less need for people to construct 8 way megatrades for players we haven’t even been linked to.

Ablett trade
gold coast get 19 and 2018 2nd, geelong get 25 and 2018 4th
Good result for the suns, trading a 33 year old for a 2nd round pick and a decent pick upgrade

Charlie Cameron for pick 12.

That’s outrageously cheap.
Not sure he fills a need for Carlton but he is a solid player.

Yeah, must be true that port was shedding a bit of cap room.
