Dungeons & Dragons

Replace verse with rant and…

“The word “bard” primarily, refers to a poet, especially one who writes impassioned or epic verse.”

Any Celtic ancestry?

“It also has historical roots in Celtic cultures, where bards were professional poets and storytellers, often associated with music and oral traditions.”

The resume practically writes itself…

“In the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing game, is a spellcaster who gains magical abilities through artistic expression, particularly music. This class often incorporates elements of storytelling, performance, and even trickery.”

My DM appears to have a fascination with martians. They keep popping up whenever we’re about to retrieve the flag of drought-breaking.

@Soulnet I also would like to use my elf perception skills to see if what we are hunting is the source of the “20 year curse”

Im tired.

I’ll think this through if you lot want to do this somewhat properly.

For those new to character creation, try d&d beyond on ios or android, or via the website.

It’s basically a satanic cult @Tezzalenco

You get together on the weekend and take part in dark rituals.

Dungeons and Dragons is a great game I played from 2nd edition and most recently through the lock downs online. Heavily using your imagination can give you the most amazing almost high if you do it right

Anyone playing 2024 rules?

I have started a dragons heist campaign with the 2024 rules. Some things are very weird (never thought true strike would be my main cantrip), some things are more intuitive, mostly the same.

Nah. The game I run has two players who use classes that haven’t been converted to the new rules yet, and the one I play in has a dm who’s very angry about the removal of halfelves and half orcs. So both stick with the 2014 rules.

I’ve had a look at the 2024 rules, and there’s things that I like but in general terms I think it overpowers PCs and shovels in a whole bunch of rules changes that individually sound good on paper but which don’t sync well together.

I’m sure you could still have a fun game using 2024 rules, and we even steal some bits and pieces to port into our 2014 game, but the 2014 stuff looks marginally better for mine.

Best thread Ever

Personally it’s been a bit of oh yeah I know how that works and then look silly when that is, in fact, no longer how it works

Yeah my first character was a half orc barbarian in a campaign that lasted 2 years. So disappointed to see them go.

Geez I have to put my phone away when I get on the gin and tonic. I can’t even remember writing this. How embarrassment.
