Wow
Noticed it in the hills
I was half awake but shoook me
Felt here in Pascoe vale
Bizarre, that one.
Initial reports are 4.5 leongatha way.
I highly doubt the 4.5
I either didnât feel it or it wasnât strong enough to get my attention. Woke my wife up, though.
It felt / sounded like something large had landed on the roof and flexed the house frame. But I was half asleep so it didnât make much sense at first.
I donât recall such an active period for Melbourne that the last few years have been.
Sleept through that one
Not nearly as strong as the licola/mansfield one a couple years back? I slept through. On the bigger one, I happened to be on the phone to a mate in the Strathbogies. It hit him about 8-10 secs before it got to NE Melb, which was interesting. He started yelling out to his missus, and I couldnât tell what was going on, and then the other part of our house that I was looking at through the window started jumping around and distorting slightly!
USGS marked it as 4.5
We, GA, marked it as 4.3
Weâve probably had 4 earthquakes in Melbourne/ Victoria last 3 years âŚ.more than I can remember in that space of time âŚâŚwhatâs happening to the earth around here? Could there be an even bigger one around the corner ?
Slept though it in Tootgarook
Of course. Itâs all literally a question of time. But on geological scales. Humanity may be a distant thing of the past before the Melbourne area copped an 8+ . Or, it might not. iIâs inevitable that itâll happen. Itâs hugely unlikely that weâll see it. Unless Charles Hapgood / Emmanuel Velikovsky etc were correct.
Whatâs the chances of having an earthquake in Melbourne Florida and Melbourne Australia within the same day?
YâknowâŚwe keep posting thatâŚthe irony gods are gonna smash usâŚ
Going to start raining on a lot of wedding days?
