7.2, 5.3, 6.5, 5.4 within the space of 20 minutes
My friend who works in HK as a nanny for a Taiwanese family is in Taiwan for a holiday, saying many aftershocks the building they are in appears ok but the lifts are down with people stuck inside.

The restaurant here in the hotel has some clean up ahead of them. They have several display cases of bottles of fancy wine, which have ended up all over the shop, some dropping off the shelves or onto the shelf below, smashing.
If you ever wonder whether those display cases actually have wine in them… why yes, yes they do.
There was some carnage in my carefully lined up empty cans and water bottles in the hotel room too…

In a thousand years they will talk about Taiwanese enginuity and the fact that that tower has not collapsed. People will visit it and take photo’s pretending to hold it up.
