A small town in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges has been rocked by a 4.5 magnitude earthquake, according to Geoscience Australia.
The earthquake struck 10 kms beneath Hawker near the Flinders Ranges National Park about 325 kms north of Adelaide at 1.22pm on Saturday.
It was followed by two smaller earthquakes at magnitudes of 2.9 and 3.1 at depths of 3 and 7 kms.

Volcano Discovery reported the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth which was likely felt by many people near the epicentre.
“It should not have caused significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves and broken windows,” a spokesman said.
The initial earthquake was initially reported as a magnitude of 5.0 but was revised as seismologists reviewed data from multiple agencies.
Residents across South Australia reported on social media feeling tremors several hours after the earthquake struck.
People living near the epicentre reported their houses shook and they heard a loud noise describing it as a rumble.

Buildings have collapse in Mandalay, but so far no reports of casualties. There have been evacuations from buildings.
