There’s a strong level of schadenfreude involved with all of this. However there are so many Brits who have been left in the lurch to feel bad for.

As early as 2018 enough Leave voters had passed away that, if a reelection were to occur with only the voters who voted in 2016 permitted, Remain would have won provided nobody changed their vote.

It’s frustrating that the true villains in all of this will never face any consequences for this. Their way of life won’t be affected at all.

Wasn’t there a younger age group that didn’t bother to vote?

Yes, I believe so.

Whatever the cause was, they’ll have to live with these outcomes too

I see your Erasmus B. Dragon and raise you …

Lacks subtlety.

Also, I don’t think I would trust a surgeon who was that anatomically inaccurate.

There was also the post Brexit exit from the European road cabotage system, whereby a foreign registered semi could deliver in one town pick up elsewhere in the same country, deliver within that country - for example a Spanish haulier delivering fruit to Glasgow, collects fish for delivery elsewhere in the UK , another cargo collect to take back to Spain. ( back loading)
Apparently, it was a lucrative arrangement for the UK road haulage sector.

Brother in Law reckons food shortages in shops starting to become apparent as the lack of euro labour impacts . Not severe as yet, but he thinks it will be.

Got everything on the weekly shopping list last Sunday. Had to substitute one item with similar.

They’re up in Cambridgeshire. I didn’t ask for details on if/what he thinks will start to become difficult to obtain.

He did say he had an interesting time finding diesel , lol.

Remember all the “Irish Jokes”? The boot’s on the other foot now.

Yes, the initial phase of Brexit is bad in a number of respects. There was never going to be a honeymoon after the formalities were completed. But we need to wait 10 years to get a picture what the outcome is.

Even 50 years ago London Transport was run by immigrants. So, I guess the logistics industry will need to be run by immigrants ( if not visa holders). Its not like the problem is new and a solution is impossible.
