EPL 2022/23

Ronaldo back to Man Utd may not have been a financial risk but his presence at the club was super toxic. The decision to essentially sack him and send him off to Saudi Arabia has been one the best decisions Man Utd have made in recent times. They’ll be okay now.

ronaldo goes.

rashford enters godmode???

Massive test for ETH to take on someone of that statute, but he couldn’t have handled it any better. If he bottles it, his authority is undermined and he loses respect in the dressing room. Got rid of a disruptive influence and the team is now his, so to speak. They know he’s boss, and if they fall out of line they’ll be out the door.

Worked so far with Arteta too

The manager has to be in charge. Can’t have him subservient to players no matter how big they might be. Arteta did what Emery tried to do but in the end bottled with Ozil. And as soon as Aubameyang because more trouble than he was worth he ■■■■■■ him off. Both decisions correct.

Betting has been suspended on the next Everton manager. Reports starting to emerge that Dyche has the job.

Too early in the season for Big Sam?

City beat Arsenal in a tight game. Can the Gunners lift when they meet them in the League in a couple of weeks?

That loss is probably a blessing for Arsenal as I don’t feel they have the depth to challenge on too many fronts. With just the league and Europe to worry about I think they hang on comfortably

Waaaay too early

Can’t see them dropping below 2nd, but only halfway through the actual fixture.

Add Pogba to that as well. Too many big egos in the dressing room.

Would he even go back there if they came calling? He took them from 16th when they sacked Koeman to 8th, then they binned him off because they didn’t like his style of football…

Considering only one of the regular back 4 satrted, Trossard instead of Martinelli and no Odegaard for 3/4 game and Partey off after 1/2 time, not concerned in the least. 6 changes from our starting 11 from last week, compared to 2 for City, away at Manchester, I’ll take a one goal to nothing loss any day of the week.

Gamewise, Holding had his hands full with Haaland and honestly did okay, but made too many errors on the ball. Lokongo came on replacing Partey and totally threw out our shape which is what ultimately led to the goal. He isn’t a bad kid, just needs to develop his game like Saliba did. We need to loan him out for a year or two so he can get some regular first team action. Trossard is going to be an asset. Very good buy. Turner proved he is capable of being a very good replacement for Ramsdale if needed. He read the play really well, frequently shutting down City plays. The goal that beat him was actually a pass for Haaland that just curled in on his far corner. Good goal, bad pass.

Not unhappy to lose, lets us concentrate on the league and Europe, and may also convince the owners to open the purse strings again to find a quality backup for Partey because at this stage in his career, Lokongo is not it.

Yep! He’s Juventus’s problem right now and they’re in a world of hurt! Possible relegation due to their financial creative accounting.

We are almost zero chance of being relegated but yes he is our problem now although he is injured currently

Pogba and Lingard were bigger problems in the dressing room than Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s problem was that he was no longer the main man, and that he was at a club that wasn’t playing Champions League.

Saying all this, it had zero effect on the clubs finances. But most opposition fans, like to just bring up Ronaldo as the main problem. There were many bigger financial problems than Ronaldo.

Apparently Real Madrid have pulled out of bidding for our Deccy because…he’ s given his word to farkin ARSEnal! :grimacing:

Which means Chelsea will hijack the deal at the last minute in typical Chelsea fashion, and he will end up there.
