Igor Jesus officially signed to Forest. Definitely needed some other options to help out Wood, especially with Awoniyi probably departing.

Sheesh. This is the part of the EPL setup that I really dislike ( as a fan). The PSR rules really do punish the clubs that donāt have the big, reliable income based. Weāve clawed our way from literal bottom of the Championship, to promotion, to top 8 PL , to European football . And weāre gonna tackle Europe having effectively been forced to sell Morgan and Elanga ( on his way to Newcastle by the look of it) , who are key reasons we got there in the first place. I know itās the reality of top flight football, but as an Australian sports fan I find it quite distasteful.
That said, Morgan and Brennan at Spurs is gonna make it difficult for me to not hope they go pretty well. And Iām much happier that heās gone to Spurs than City, which had seemed a likely landing spot. Fark those guys, they should have been demoted to League 4 for cheating.
As to Forest, Iām thinking itāll mean that Anderson steps into the #1 attacking midfield role and I suspect (hope) that weāll discover heās been somewhat hidden behind Morgan. I do wonder whether , had we known Morgan was definitely on the move, weād have not sold Danilo.

His a solid player. Last season was not great but the season before was very good. He improves Spurs and provides competition for spots. His foot work is really good. Good signing.

Such a bizarre setup, really. Forest appear to be annoyed that Spurs approached MGW before asking for permission to approach him. Granted, heās under contract but surely this stuff happens all the time. Perhaps more pertinently , the suggestion seems to be that someone - presumably MGWās manager - leaked the Ā£60m release clause to Spurs because the Spurs offer was precisely 60 million. Forest had been telling City that they wanted 70 million.
Apparently, technically, Spurs can be fined or punished for an early approach. But thisāll all be about money and I wonāt be shocked if Spurs suddenly offer 65 and it all goes through.
Thereāll be a component that gets forwarded to Wolves , so Forest will be doing their sums to work out what their take will be at each figure and what they can do with it.
